    Replacement shock on Mach 1

These are a good all around beginner entry level replacement, as they are Non adjustable. You can buy cheaper shocks but you get what you pay for. For my Mach1 and what I do with the car they are great, ride is drastically improved along with handling. I also replaced the lower and upper control arms.

    Big difference

Before I replaced my rear shocks with the Bilstein shocks every time I would hit a bump or a small speed bump the rear end would always bottom out. But with the new shocks that I've ordered replaced my ride is way smoother now.

    Bilstein HD Rehocks

I have a 1998 GT with HandR Super Sport Springs. I had koni str.t rear shocks and on my car they just were not enough. I wish I would have got these at first! The Bilsteins HD are so much better in everyway you will love these things!

    mach 1 rear shocks

I wanted the best product available to me in the aftermarket. I am in mgt in a parts supply store in Tucson and am not a stranger to suppliers/quality/price , I am happy with the American muscle support , they considered a request for sale price matching on a order placed near a sale after ordering prior to sale - great job. the shocks ordered were installed , I am satisfied with their performance and will look forward to ordering the front struts to match. I could have purchased Monroe/kyb product through my store - but want the best for my mach , thank you am mus for your customer support , we at merles are doing the same everyday , nice to receive , after giving everyday. thank you guys !!!

    Great Shocks Worth The Money

I purchased mine on Cyber Monday, so I got a heck of a deal on them, but I'll go back with these at normal cost when these wear out, they are great, and I've tried a couple diff ones. Hands down worth the money, they are stiff but not harsh, it's a subtle stiff, comfy.

Great replacement shock for big improvements

My rear shocks and struts were shot on my Mustang, so I bought these to not only fix the issue, but help improve the handling, and boy did it do just that. It rides firm, yet not harsh, and the handling is way better. I can turn into corners significantly faster and it takes the bumps well.

    Cheap and easy

I bought these along with bilstein quad shocks and removed stock and installed all 4 things in about an hour, immediately there was a ride differnce, felt more stiff, confident on the road. One of my favorite modifications I've purchased from AM. Thanks! And of course the shipping was great along with quality. 2 day shipping.. cant beat it.

Improvement Over Stock with Performance Springs

The Bilstein HD is a noticeable improvement over the stock shock after installing the Vogtland springs. I do think the valving still could be more aggressive to better control the much stronger rebound of the performance springs. I wonder now if the adjustable Koni at its firmest setting would provide a more controlled ride.

    WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

A month ago I installed a less expensive set of struts and shocks with Eibach Sportline springs. The ride was horrible. I decided to bite the bullet and scrap the others and go to the Bilsteins HOPING for some relief. I could hardly drive the car. These shocks made such a huge difference I can't even explain. No more bottoming out or hammering in the rear. Bilsteins are definitely worth the money. I wish I would have not wasted hundreds of dollars a month ago on a cheaper package. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. ... On another note, I can't say enough about American Muscle. Their processing, shipping, and customer service is excellent. Please do yourself a favor and buy only from AM. I have been burnt by the competitors and eventually you will too. Good luck!

Best way to lower your ride

Purchased these to go along with SR performance springs. I had a shop install them and it took less than a day. Was informed they had never lowered a car and had this kind of ride quality. Iam more than pleased with this purchase. If trying to get rid of that terrible wheel gap by lowering your mustang, this is a must have accessory to your springs. Will not purchase any other brand. Combined with bilstein struts and quad shocks, my mustang rides better than ever.

    Among the best out there!

I also highly praised reviewed the fronts... Much better than the new KYB Gr2s I put in months earlier. So much more control, while retaining most ride quality. Comfortable enough for the daily driver. They are worth it, although it seems a little tough to spend that much for a full set.

    Bilstein HD's

I recently purchased these all the way around for my 03 GT. The quality and fit of the Bilsteins are top notch. I was on the fence between these and the Koni STR.T set. I can't speak for the Koni shocks, but I think they'd be hard pressed to out do these. The ride is firm yet comfortable. It has a "sporty" feel to it and you feel like you're really in control (one with the car) of what's going on. When I installed these, I installed them with a set of Steeda sport springs and the difference was night and day over my stockers. Even with my upper and lowers and subframe connectors already installed, these made a difference in how the car hooks and corners. I know there's a lot of talk on the forums out there about what's the "best" shock/strut combo for our new edge ponies. Some swear up and down that there's better or just as good for less, but to honest, I don't think you're gonna find a better non adjustable than the Bilstein HD's.

    Great mod over stock

This should be done with the front at the same time. This will greatly improve handling and ride quality over the stock shocks. Will work great with lowered cars as well

    EXCELLENCE!

I have a 2003 Cobra and did a solid axle swap. I got these to match the factory front Bilsteins. I had previously used the IRS rear shocks even though I knew they were valved differently. Got these and ride is MUCH improved! Fit perfect, easy install, Bilsteins are great quality.
