- How to Install Wheels on Your 1979-2013 Mustang
Hey everyone, I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a look at our AmericanMuscle GT500 Style Wheels for your 2005 and up Mustang. GT500’s have always been one of the baddest Mustangs on the block and now your ride can enjoy the stylings of the 2010 GT500, thanks to these split 5-spoke wheels. The wheels are available with 3 different finishes, including a black painted finish, a triple dipped chrome finish, or a black machined finish. As for the sizes, the wheels are available in either an 18” diameter with an 8 inch front and 9 inch rear, or a 19” diameter with an 8.5 inch front and a 10 inch rear. Staggered fitment is cool for a couple of different reasons. First off, it looks awesome. A wider rear wheel not only improves your stance, but also helps get that power down to the ground thanks to the wider rear tire and contact patch. Not only that, it also makes for more responsive handling as well, thanks to the narrow front tire. It’s a win-win. Now, you can purchase these wheels without tires if you want; however, the smart move would be to take advantage of one of our wheel and tire combos that pair your new GT500 style wheels up with some of the better performing tires on the market today in sizes that are guaranteed to fit without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. Not only that, you also get to take advantage of our free shipping and handling, free mounting and balancing, and optional nitrogen fill. Remember, you 2007 and up folks have to keep in mind your vehicles are equipped with a TPMS sensor. This means a tire pressure monitoring system that needs to be addressed when ordering new wheels. These aluminum AM wheels are extremely durable, but if you ever encounter any problems, every rim features a lifetime structural warranty, as well as a one year warranty on finish, you can’t beat that. There are very few mods on the market today that can change the attitude of any ride like a new set of shoes. These AmericanMuscle wheels are sure to offer the modern aggressive stylings that look great on any Mustang.

Mounting & Balancing: AmericanMuscle offers professional mounting and balancing on all wheels and tires when purchased together on the same order. This will allow you to swap out your old wheels for your new set when they arrive.
What is TPMS? The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS for short) is a factory installed safety feature on all 2007 and newer Ford Mustangs that alerts you when your tire pressure drops to an unsafe limit.
How do I keep my TPMS feature? Aftermarket wheels do not come with TPMS sensors. However, if you select 'Add TPMS Sensor Kit' and your specific year range from the options listed above, we'll install the TPMS Sensors in your new wheels!

Great looking set.
Everything ordered came quickly and in perfect condition. Setting the TPS sensors only took a couple minutes. The only reason I didn’t give this set a five star rating is because the back tire is a tad smaller than the front, I prefer the opposite.Helpful (8)

Not bad at all!
If your looking for the looks, and grip look no more these wheels are for you. Only reason it wasn’t 5 stars is since the wheels on back are wider they follow each crack which gets annoying at first but after a while you’ll get used to it... but they look super nice on my carHelpful (7)

will these fit right? I have stock 16 inch rims and i want to upgrade will i be able to just put these on when i recive them with out any problems?
Exactly! We can mount and balance the wheels and tires here so they arrive ready to ride with no rubbing or clearance issues!
I would like to know what lug nuts i would need to properly fit in these rims? i bought the rims and the stock nuts i have are the rong size there to wide at the base, i really want black ones though and want to order them off of this site if your could just stear me in the right direction please. Thanks
the stock ones will work with these wheels but if you want black i would suggest getting the 6 spline lug nuts on this site. i did that a couple months after having these wheels. they are alot smaller looking than the stock ones and come with a socket that fits in the wheels holes alot easier.
Can you use your existing tpms from your stock rims on the gt500 rims?
Is there an alternative option for the center caps that are included?
Any of our AM style center caps will work with this wheel: https://www.americanmuscle.com/1014-mustang-wheel-center-caps.html
These are just the Rims right. Or does it come with the rim and tire?? 1st time buyer
This would just be the wheel itself.
These will clear the 4 piston Brembo brakes but not the 6 piston Brembos.
These 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel will not fit GT500's or mustangs equipped with big brake kits/packages.
The 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel & Mickey Thompson Tire Kit - 18x9 will have a +30mm offset while the 18x10 will have a +45mm offset.
The Staggered 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit will come with 275s in the back however you can put 285s on the 18x10 no problem!
Hello! This is for one 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel.
Hello! If you purchase TPMS sensors with your 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit they will be installed with free mounting and balancing.
This Staggered 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel & NITTO Tire Kit will not be a direct fit on a 1997 GT as there will be some clearance concerns.
No, 235/50-18 tire is not wide enough. Go with a 275 or wider
The Staggered 2010 GT500 Style Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit - 18x9/10 (05-14) will fit no problem for up to a 2 inch drop.
You are right. But it can be corrected with a tuner. Yes more money. You could probably go to ford and have them do it but its Going to cost you more than it should
