    Added Safety. This BMR Rear Tunnel Brace with Driveshaft Safety Loop is NHRA legal to safely contain your Mustangs drive shaft in place in the event of a U-joint or driveshaft failure that could other wise cause your pony to flip over. The NHRA requires the use of a driveshaft safety loop on vehicles running 12.99 or faster in the quarter mile.

    Quality Construction.
    Made in the USA from 1/4" steel plate for strength this rear Tunnel Brace/Safety Loop is then completed with a long-lasting black hammer-tone powdercoat finish, and is designed to be an easy bolt-on using existing mounting holes, no welding or drilling is required.

    The BMR Suspension Rear Tunnel Brace with Driveshaft Safety Loop is designed to fit all 2005 to 2014 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500 models.

    Technical Note. Care must be taken at full suspension droop when used with one-piece drive shafts.

            Waste of money

            It doesn’t fit. Not even close. It hits the driveshaft before you have enough threads to even start the nuts. I called BMR when I ordered it and they said it would fit. Well they were wrong.

            Want work with BBK off-road X-Pipe

            This looks like a solid loop system, but it totally will not work if you have a BBK off-road X-Pipe on your car, which I also bought through American Muscle. I live in Alaska so it will be a pain to send this back. You think AM might mention this, especially since they have the list of all mods on my car (I bought most of them there). When purchasing the website indicated that this would fit my car:(

            Quality part.

            The install went pretty easy just did it with my race ramps. I have the SVT package so I need to verify I have it aligned so it does not rub. I need to put more miles on to do this.

            Great fit, easy install

            15 minute install of a well made stamped part. Finish is done well on all surfaces. Tucks up under the body well with clearance all the way around the drive shaft.

            Tunnel brace with safety loop

            It looks good but when you lift the car off the ground the driveshaft comes in contact with the brace itself. As long as you're not flying over bumps it will be fine

            I actually had someone install this when I had my o/r pipes installed. I purchased both front and rear loops from AM. I know over kill. I have a VMP GEN2 w79mm pulley, JPC Budget E85 fuel system, etc give or take 700 rwhp, Just in case when I go to the strip

            Go With This Brace - Loop!

            I looked through EVERY option for a some driveshaft safety. This is a very nice product. It's well made and fits great - zero issues, and I have welded subframes! This comes with the brace AND loop, which is a far better design than any other I've seen. It's also a good deal vs other loop only products, IMHO. Installed on 2011 GT. About an hour or so, faster if you have a lift.

            Peace of Mind

            Installed this rear safety loop along with the front loop at the same time. As with the front loop, this rear loop installs easily, but unlike the front, the driveshaft does not need to come off. I have not had any issues with it rubbing as noted in other reviews with the stock driveshaft.

            was easy to install expecially because was installing the al driveshaft at the same time. wanted extra safety after some of the stories i herd about with the origional driveshaft. after a week or two, hit a couple of big bumps with a loud noise, diddn't know if the springs were bottoming out or the driveshaft was hitting the loop. got under the car and sure enough it was scratched. luckly it was only cosmetic, it did not damage the driveshaft. so i left the brace on but took off the loop. it should still protect in case of failure, and checked to see if it would hit the brace. i would almost have to be airborne for it to hit.

            Good product

            For Drag Racing ONLY. I used this loop while track racing, which involved kerbs and suspension travel. The driveshaft makes contact with the brace. This is despite lowering the brace by adding washers (As mentioned by the manufacturer) Again, strongly suggest for Drag Racing ONLY

            BMR Rear Tunnel Brace and Driveshaft Safety Loop.

            I was installing a new aluminum driveshaft on my 2012 Boss 302 when I thought I should get a driveshaft safety loop because it's required for the horsepower and ET that I'm putting down. I surfed the net and looked at front loops and rear loops and then I came across the BMR piece in the American Muscle online catalog. The BMR attaches to 6 mounting points that are threaded or studs sticking out from the frame that are unused. The only thing missing from the kit are 4-8mm nuts and 2-8mm bolts about 25mm long (1 inch long). I found the needed hardware at Home Depot. I used locknuts and hardened bolts. Installing the brace is straight forward with no obstructions. once bolted into place, the actual loop is easy to install. The loop has slotted mounting holes so you can center the loop in relation to the driveshaft. The way that this BMR brace mounts, it puts the safety loop slightly closer the the middle of the driveshaft than the rear. I can see that at this mounting point there is no need for a second safety loop because you will see that if you have a failure at the front or the rear of the driveshaft there is no danger of it hitting the ground and pushing up through the floor. The brace is a solid piece of steel plate and you can tell that it strengthens the tunnel area where it bolts to the frame. I recommend this piece and would buy it again. American Muscle shipped this piece and I had it within 3 days.
