push rod length Hi I have a 91 mustang 302 building to a 306 have the edelbrock heads and intake going to a x303 cam do I need to change pushrod length when running that cam have done a similar build with a e303 cam and did not have to change pushrods.

    liger

    • It's always wise to use a length checker to verify the size pushrod you need in any application. With that being said, the stock pushrods will work fine with the X303 cam.

Will these work on a blueprint hp9008 cylinder head?

    mrcap

    • The Comp Cams High Energy Hardened Pushrods will be compatible with all SBF heads, however you will need to measure for the correct push rod length to ensure proper clearance with your given setup, as this will vary based on final engine deck height, and cylinder head deck thickness, as well as head gasket thickness.

      Exactly What I Needed

They looked a lot better than the bent ones (of a different brand) they were replacing. So far running great.

New pushrods needed to upgrade rockers.

I needed new push rods to upgrade with new rockers. The old pushrods were worn for the old rockers and I wanted a clean start replacing both at the same time. It turns out the old ones were comp cams as well but without the ball on each end so this was a better upgrade and more suitable for the rockers.

      replacement pushrods

Product is as advertised. I bought these because I installed aluminium heads with roller rockers. You need to get an adjustable measuring pushrod to figure out what size your engine combo needs. Mine needed to be half inch shorter than stock length pushrods. These worked great.

Quality pushrods and a great upgrade over stock

When building my new 5.0 for my mustang I upgraded my heads and entire valve train .I didn't want to re-use my 100k used push rods with the new rockers. One visit to American muscle got me the right parts, great price with no guess work . Easy to install and a great upgrade over the pressed ball factory push rods the comp cams hardened pushrods got the job done!

      Comp pushrods

Overall good quality. I measured each rod with calipers. Most were within .003 of each other in length but 2 rods were pretty off 1 was .010 big and the other almost .010 small. I think anything more than + or - .003 should have gone in the reject pile.
