      • For 05-10 4.6/5.4 Modular 3V
      • Serious Street Cam
      • Noticeable Idle
      • For Heavily Modified Street Mustangs
      • Big Gains Above 4600 RPM
      • Improved Throttle Response

Serious Cams for Serious Performance. If you're looking for a high lift camshaft for a highly modified street Mustang, these Comp Cams Stage 2 XFI VSR Camshafts are your answer. This serious street cam delivers big gains on highly modified cars with a noticeable idle. May not be street legal in all areas, please check your local laws.

Big Gains for Modified Engines. We've heard of 30+ horsepower on modified vehicles with these cams. For these monster cams, you'll need new springs and get the best results with 3.90 rear gears and a 3000 stall speed torque converter.

Compatibility. These camshafts are designed for the 2005-2010 4.6 and 5.4 Modular three valve V8 Mustangs. These cams require a spring upgrade and tuning is recommended.

      Tech Notes:

Note: Want less extreme cams? Consider Comp Cams' Stage 1 cams. Got gears & converter but don't want to buy springs? Check out the NSR cams.

Technical Note. The installation of these Comp Cams will require a phaser limiter kit and custom ECU programming.

        5 2007 GT - duffman667 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great set of cams

These things make your car sound absolutely beautiful and run mean as can be. The first review on here sounds more like the guy had the bad driver mod. Given he only ran a 12.9 with about every bolt on and blamed a 13.7 pass on the cams. Anyway, don't listen to him. These cams will get you amazing performance with a good Dyno tune and CORRECT installation.

        5 2007 GT - stang631 Installation Time: Full Day

        great bang for your buck

to the guy above me. sounds to me like your cams are not timed right and possibly during the install that your cam timeing chains have sliped off the sproket at the crank. theres now way that you should be going slower at the track after cams. you should have your cams timeing checked. check the timeing marks on the phaser and chain and make sure postion1 is at top dead center to see if all is where it should be. hope this helps you out and any one who want to do cams to there mustang. i have stage 2 cams in my mustang and they are awsome :) puting down 380rwhp with the stock heads

        5 2005 GT - Bryan

        These Cams are GREAT!

I dont know about the last guy but when I installed these cams on my Procharged 05 GT I saw a HUGE difference in power just like AM says. The reason the last guy didnt see any gains was because, although he had a lot of aftermarket parts these cams require engine mods, not just bolt ons. I am running bigger injectors, coils packs, a procharger, throttle body, and a custom tune. My car is reaching into the HIGH 10s with this cam and the procharger. I would HIGHLY recommend this cam to anyone looking to put some pep in their step. Thanks to AM for the quick shipping

        5 2007 GT - Bucky

I have all the supporting mods long tubes, Ford racing intake manifold, bbk 62mm tb, c&l racer cold air, tci 3000 stall, 410 gears, aluminum drive shaft, msd coil packs. All these part were bought from American muscle I will add. Before I added the cams I was running 12.9 at 110mpr on streets and rims. After the cams and slicks my best has been 13.7 at 104 mpr and yes thats after trying 2 new tunes from AM. So next week the cams are coming out and going back to American Muscle If they dont want to give me my money back they can just keep them.

I have an 07 standard shift gt what all would I have to have to run these

      • These Comp Cams Stage II XFI VSR Camshafts would require the Comp Cams Phaser Limiter Kit (item 30139), the Comp Cams Valve Springs Beehive (item 30106), and the Comp Cams Valve Spring Steel Retainers (item 30107). We would also recommend an upgraded ring and pinion with a 3.90:1 ratio of your favorite brand.

Why do you need a 3000 stall converter for?

      • As a drag racer and an engine builder the cam center lines and duration @ 50 degrees and more do affect the lower rpm torque curves when automatic equipped. The car will leave flat if it doesn't get into torque curve IMMEDIATELY! It;s crucial in getting the car to respond with an automatic trans. The higher the stall speed the better the response. Use a MINIMUM 12,000 LBS rated trans cooler. It;s also crucial to make sure the camshafts are Degreed individually, the lower the center line of the cams the more response with lower stall converter, bigger camshafts bigger stall speed. I hope this directs you to get the necessary equipment and parts to be successful for your performance. I highly recommend beehive springs, you should be replacing the springs anyway with a new camshaft. Best of luck to your success!!!!

I have a roush 427R which is supercharged and is manual 5 speed. Would these cams work in my vehicle? I have 4.10 in rear already is there anything else besides what is listed that I may need? Thanks

      • This should work for you without a problem, but we recommend checking out this list of advised upgrades. Requires spring upgrade Recommended with Comp Cam springs 26113-24 Custom dyno tune recommended Best with 3.90 gears and 3000 stall speed torque converter Recommended with Comp Cam retainers 700-24

will this cam be alright with a roush 2300 supercharger

      • The Comp Cams Stage II XFI VSR Camshafts can be used safely with a Roush R2300 blower, however for ideal gains we would recommend looking at a blower cam, designed specifically for the characteristics of a supercharged engine.
