I’m Dave from AmericanMuscle.com and today I have a clutch made for us by a well-known stock and performance clutch manufacturer, Exedy. And this one is the Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch fitting the 96-04 GTs. The Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch is sold exclusively at AmericanMuscle.com and is designed to hold more horse power and torque then your slippery factory clutch; in fact it’s a great upgrade from your factory clutch. The quality of this product comes from the fact that unlike other aftermarket clutch manufacturers Exedy makes there’s from scratch; this is not a modified OE part, this is made from high strength ductal steel and is guaranteed to be durable and reliable. And again, this is not an OE pressure plate that has been modified and painted. Combine this with the special friction special friction material on the clutch disc you are going to get a strong and reliable clutch that feels like stock but out performs it. The center of this clutch features a high torque spring that’s going to help absorb and deflect high levels of torque under hard driving; it’s going to help alleviate some of the stress on the driveline, the clutch, and the driver. Now that high torque spring is also going to work great under high RPM clutch engagement to absorb some of that torque and help keep the clutch intact and give you consistent performance from gear to gear. This clutch is designed specifically to handle the strength and bite required for a mustang and Exedy has built and tested this clutch to make sure it acts like a stock, but with loads more power and amazing performance. That’s part of what makes this clutch perfect for the daily driver, or the weekend cruiser or even the weekend racer. The Mach 350 Stage 1 by Exedy won’t blow apart on you and it’s designed to hold the horsepower and torque of the Mustang. Also this part is SFI certified so you can have more confidence it is construction and performance, it’s going to hold up no matter what you use it for or how hard you drive it. Installing this part is a little more involved then your typical bolt on, but it can be done at home, just know that before you get started you do need to remove the exhaust and drop the transmission before you get to your clutch and flywheel bolts. It is possible at home but it’s going to take you about 4 hours to get completed, so if you are not up for the challenge I do recommend you bring it down to your local shop. Whether you are looking to replace a worn out stock clutch or you need a upgrade in holding power since your last round of mods, the Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch is a great choice and sold exclusively at AmericanMuscle.com for the 96-04 Mustang GTs.

So I have had this clutch for about a week now with also the bbk clutch adjuster cable mod. Paddle is much softer and enganges quick and sensitive to the touch. I do hear a minor ticking when at idle. But besides that I'm pleased with it all for now.Helpful (0)

this clutch is a grabber and it is smooth. It bits and holds tight on takeoff. install is dependent on your setup with your manifold and pipes. I have straight pipes so it was a bear.Helpful (0)

Will this fit on a t45 transmission, if not which clutch kit/flywheel/bolts (flywheel and disc) do I buy for my t45 transmission?
The Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT, 1999-2004 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 with the T-45, TR-3650, or T-56 transmission with a 10 spline input shaft.
I'm interested in the exedy mach 350 clutch and the exedy aluminum flywheel, I have an x in my vin, exactly what bolt pattern flywheel and spline pattern do I have stock? "because I don't want to order the wrong parts."
If the 8th character in your VIN is an "X" you would have a Windsorblock which would be an 8 bolt crank. But to determine the spline count for your Mustang, we would need additional information from you. If you can please reach back out to us via Phone, Email or Chat support, we would be happy to direct you to the right parts for your Mustang.
I own a built date 10-12-2000 (Says 01) GT/ROUSH with the T45OD transmission. Just want to verify if this would be the kit for my car. Thanks Junior
This Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT, 1999-2004 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 equipped with either the T-45, the TR-3650, or the T-56 transmission with a 10 spline input shaft.
Is this an 11 inch clutch
This Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 Clutch disc's diameter is 11 inches.
Do Mach 1's clutches use fuilds or no?
A Mustang Mach1 would use a cable driven clutch, so no fluids are used in the system.
The chirping noise is usually a bad throwout bearing. Check the throwout bearing guide tube for wear while you have the trans out. Proper clutch adjustment will keep the throwout bearing from constantly riding on the pressure plate fingers.
It really depends on how much power your making, i put this exact clutch on my GT with 350 wheel hp and the peddle was no stiffer than it already was. I also got wheel spin on my 4th gear shift at 90mph rather than clutch slip. So if your looking to replace your stock clutch and want no difference in engagement this is the one i would go with.
It will work, make sure to get the flywheel resurfaced. I replaced a clutch before without resurfacing the flywheel and had problems after a while with the clutch smoothly engaging. The only way that it wouldn't work is if your flywheel is damaged beyond repair. A shop that does resurfacing will be able to tell you this. The good thing about this clutch is that it feels very similar to the stock one which is perfect for a daily driver.
