It is pickled and oiled to have a smooth disc interaction that has a sturdy construction. For extra durability, the ring gear is heat-treated before being pushed on, then it is secured with grade 8 button screws.

Furthermore, Fidanza employs stepped dowels for their flywheels to ensure reliable operation. This assures that once the friction plate is placed, the dowels lock up and will not be removed.
