In addition, a stepped dowel system is utilized to lock in place this flywheel.

Re-Buildable Friction Surface. This flywheel comes with a replaceable 1045 steel friction surface. This design makes “bedding in” of newly installed clutches faster and more efficient.

Application. This 6-Bolt Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel installs on all 1996 to 2004 4.6L Ford Mustang models.

Technical Note. Mustangs with Romeo built engines feature 6-bolt cranks, while Windsor engines feature 8-bolt cranks. A Windsor block has an "X" as its VIN's 8th character, while a Romeo block has a "W" instead. Please note, however, that the 2001 Bullitt Mustang is an exception which has a Romeo built engine. Please ask your Ford dealer for more information.
