Is there a certain way to measure how far to screw it in and get it right or do you just screw it all the way then your done?

    Chase

    • Yes, you should just screw it fully down and tighten it but we highly suggest taking the Ford Clutch Fork Pivot Stud for T5, T45 or TR3650 Transmissions to a professional to have this properly installed.

I have a 2000 Mustang GT with a t56 swap in it, I was curious if this stud would fit on my transmission without making the clutch fork sit unevenly. Thank you

      Not machined properly

Undercut was missing at base of threads where it meets the hex. This prevents the hex from tightening all the way down to the flat on the transmission. I ordered the bell housing bolt kit from ford racing that includes the correctly machined pivot stud.

      Clutch

Pretty much can't go wrong picking this when replacing the clutch just do it all don't try to cut corners like I did. But quickly learned my lesson so I ordered this with the clutch fork feels great. Do it right the first time you won't have to go back. Only if your upgrading ;-)

      So much better

Been working on an on going project for a while now and replaced just about everything including the pivot ball stud and it all feels like a brand new car! I’m both happy with American muscle and my tranny.

      Like a Charm.

The pivot stud arrived quickly, and was exactly the right fit for my application. Easy removal of the old one, and easy install of the new. (Once you already have everything off the car prior to that point.) Just a 7/8" wrench and socket to take it off and torque it down, respectively. My only gripe is that it didn't come with a new locking washer, but the old one was in good shape, so I just reused it.

      Just what is needed

Definitely a good idea to replace when doing the clutch. A small amount to spend to prevent the need to go back in again.

A must to replace if you have the transmission out

This is a great Parts straight from Ford. If you have your transmission out or changing your clutch you should probably change the pivot ball and clutch Fork while you have it out. Chances are they're worn down causing sloppy engagement.

It's works like its suppose to

I ordered this from American muscle, but ended up returning it because I found out my local Ford dealership had it in stock. It is an official Ford part so it work great. If I had known American muscle would ship it so fast I would have waited the extra day, but I needed my car right there and then. Car works great no more squeaks.

      MUST BUY!!!

When doing a clutch (and we know you don't want to have to do another one again anytime in the near future) you need to get a new pivot stud. This is what the clutch fork rocks against to depress the pressure plate. They wear out and mushroom, and then effect clutch pedal pressure. You should certainly pick one up, $25 to extend the life of your clutch is surely worth it.

      Pivot styd

My stock stud was bent so I needed a new one and thus seems to be doing a fine job. No complaints here.
