Will I still require a tune if installed with the Ford Performance Pack 2.

KenR

  • Yes, you will still need a tune. The Ford Performance Power Pack 2 will only calibrate for the Cold Air Intake, and Throttle Body.

Will this work on a 16gt if you install it and an aftermarket gt350 cold air intake or does the intake still have to be a normal Gt CAI?

Arocco71

  • Hello! If you were to install this Intake Manifold, you would be able to install an aftermarket GT350 Cold Air Intake!

It says it requires a tune, does American Muscle sell any tuner that will work for this product?

Snake53

  • We recommend the Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes (15-17 GT), item # 101200G15, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-custom-tuner-2015gt.html). Bama can tune for this manifold. Also, the tuner will come with two custom tunes. It will also buy you into the Free Tunes for Life program, which will allow you to request tunes whenever you want for free.

Will this fit on the 11-14 coyotes?

Anonymous

  • This will not fit on the 2011-2014 Coyotes as it is exclusively made for the 2015-2017 model Mustangs.

MMR makes a adapter to mount the factory 80mm throttle body to this gt350 intake manifold. Will the hp gains be decreased drastically over the 87mm gt350 throttle body? I purchased a after market CAI that fits the 80mm tb.

Nick

  • The power output of the Ford Performance GT350 5.2L Voodoo Intake Manifold will not drastically changed with the use of the factory throttle body, however, it will lower the amount of the air that it can bring into the engine all at once which will result in lower power, just not drastically. It would be best to utilize the 87mm gt350 throttle body and use a step-down coupler to fit to the cold air intake if so desired. We do recommend using a gt350 cold air intake and the gt350 throttle body with the use of the manifold.

    More Power!

Great power gains. It now puts down 448.6 up from 426.1 at the wheels. I have Borla s type exhaust, JLT CAI, Kook's long tube headers, and the gt350 intake. I'm very happy with the performance gains. Also the GT strut tower brace works.

    Massive power

Previously, I added headers, Borla Cat Backs, CAI, and a tune. Power was nice, but not what I wanted. Talked to the guys at Horsepower Solutions in Newport News, VA, and we decided on adding the VooDoo intake. Josh and his crew bolted it up, and did overtime to make sure I got the car I wanted. Dyno showed 429.99 rwhp and 398.79 pound-feet of torque. I was more than impressed. The first time I stepped on the gas, I really felt like I was driving a race car. Highly rate this intake, and the guys who did the work. Be sure to get someone who knows how to tune these beasts.

    A must have

This manifold came in 2 days after ordering with free shipping. AmericanMuscle y'all rock. Secondly, I have a ported stock intake, but it is no match to the gt350 IM. Pulls waaaay better up top without sacrificing low end like a boss IM. Price is high, but that's because the quality is there. Also compliments my JLT gt350 CAI and gt350 throttle body. These mods along with my x pipe /ARH axleback put down a consistent 420 hp. Once I get long tubes I expect this thing to really breathe and unlucky it's full potential. Because currently I can definitely squeeze more out of the IM and then some. Thanks as always for the best of the best AM.

    Coyote Performance

This is a great performance add on. If you are installing this your self there are some differences you need to know. The intake itself fits and bolts up perfectly. Some of the wiring harness plugins are very tight so you will have to do some slight modifications. In the front where the map sensor and one other sensor is on the 5.0 intake it uses machine screws. The GT350 VooDoo intake uses 6mm screws. You will also have a vacuum line that is not used that you will need a block off plug to block it off. The performance you gain is worth the small problems you run into.

My Mustang feels so much more powerful now!

Since I already had installed a Roush CAI along with MagnaFlow Street Catback exhaust, I had the new GT 350 intake and 87mm throttle body installed. Install, tuning and dyno runs were performed by Revolution Automotive in Baltimore, MD. near me. Install cost included SCT X4 tuner for car. The car definitely feels much more powerful along with full streetibility like the day I picked it up from dealer. Dyno indicated 422 HP at rear wheels at almost 7300 RPM. Does that mean motor horsepower approximately 497 HP assuming 15 losses? I recommend Revolution Automotive, they specialize in Mustangs.

    Lots of top end power

Amazing product, there are some difficulties with installation if you're using a JLT CAI because one of the vaccum tubes is supposed to be angled to fit right up with the gt350 intake, so i had to cut some pipe i had taken off another part, that was angled and make my own knuckle; and took 2 vaccum insert pieces and put them on the ends of the pipe to hook the JLT to the Intake(i will try to post a photo of what it looks like in case you don't want to buy a different intake you can just use extra parts. Also there will be an open hole. I just went to walmart and got some rubber stoppers and made my own stopper to plug the hole. Bama can provide you with a tune for this intake and it runs perfectly. if you want to make the install easier JDM engineering makes an install kit that i think helps out quite a bit. Doesn't really talk about using an aftermarket intake and getting all the vaccum lines to hook up right, but the voodoo doesn't use one of the vaccum hoses so that's the one i used to make everything work. It's Easy to figure out everything as you go and the car has gained noticeable power in the top end and pulls much longer.

    Looks good and performs well

The installation is definitely not as easy as advertised some hoses and some wiring need to be modified. I wish american muscle made an instalation kit, that came with instructions. I ended Up buying one from another website because american muscle did not offer one. Without the instructions i would not have been able to install this properly. With that said it took me about 3 hours to install by myself.

A Must Have, The Next Level

I bought and installed this intake on my 2016 Mustang GT. It took an evening to install myself. I also bought the GT 350 87Mm throttle body and installed it. Along with the Roush CAI. For a105 MAF Bore to the throttle body Then I finished it off with a Bama Custom Tune. It took my Mustang to the next level. I have lot's of power all the time now. It's definitely worth the bang for the buck. It runs like it did when it came from the factory. I'm very happy with my purchase
