Hey guys. Justin with AmericanMuscle.com here with a brief look into the Ford Racing by Borla Catback Exhaust system, available for your 2015 Mustang GT Fastback in your choice of either a chrome or black tip. The collaboration of Ford Racing and Borla has resulted in some great-sounding, high-quality systems for the last few years. And they continue to be a very popular choice with the S550 crowd. Now the sport system I have with me in this video here today is going to be the more aggressive of the two offerings from Ford Racing by Borla, the other being the Touring series. So let's talk about how this system gets its bark.Well, starting with the 2.5 inch mandrel bent tubing, all of it's stainless steel here in the incorporated x-pipe. Well, you're going to be picking up more of that raspy growl as opposed to that low, thumping grunt of an h-pipe as you guys all just heard with the sound clips. Now because you are replacing the factory suitcase resonator with this x-pipe, and because we are working with a full stainless build here, you can expect to ditch roughly 30 pounds off of your S550 when making the switch to the Ford Racing by Borla Catback. In addition to that x-pipe, a main contributor of the sound here is going to be from these Ford Racing by Borla sports series mufflers, which are a straight through muffler by design. I know it doesn't look that way. These things do look chambered and therefore they look like they might be a little quiet, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The goal with this system here was to provide a nice aggressive tone but with plenty of street manners, something that will turn heads when you're on it but be whisper quite in the cabin while cruising, and they certainly nailed it.Rounding out these sports series mufflers here, we have the 4 inch slash cut tips, again available in your choice of either black or polished, embossed with that Ford Racing logo. Getting this Catback bolted up to your new GT will definitely be an easier task compared to older generations, thanks largely in part to that new independent rear suspension. Now because of this, dropping the factory system and getting this new thing bolted up should only take you a couple of hours from start to finish using basic hand tools and maybe an extra set of hands just to make life a little easier on yourself. As always, if you have any questions, guys, reach out to a Mustang expert here at AM anytime. They're always standing by ready to give you a hand. So if you guys are in the market for one of the premium exhaust selections available for your S550 GT, be sure to check out the collaboration between Ford Racing and Borla with their Sport Catback available at AmericanMuscle.com.
