Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com here with a quick review of the Ford Racing Cut and Clamp Resonator Delete X-Pipe, available for all 2015 and up Mustang GTs. The factory suitcase-style resonator on the '15 was one of those features that not a lot of Mustang fans welcomed when it came to the new GT since it basically just robs your new GT of both power and sound in the eyes of performance enthusiasts. The resonator delete is firstly going to free up some power and, of course, volume since it will be replacing that restrictive factory resonator with an X-Pipe. Like usual, the X-Pipe is going to give your car a raspier tone, but you'll still maintain the use of stock cats, which will save you money and also keep you legal at the same time. This resonator delete is going to be for those S550s that are daily driven, but it will also work for those hitting the track for some fun that's usually frowned upon on the streets. On a scale of one to five, I think this resonator delete will be a two or three in regards to an overall change in sound. But, ultimately, the rest of your car's exhaust will be the determining factor here. When we look at the price for this resonator delete, you'll find that the Ford Racing offering is in the middle of the pack, right in line with other brands, such as Flowmaster for the most part, while the Heartthrob will fall on the lower side of the spectrum and the Corsa will round out the top. As for the install, well it really depends on your setup. If you've planned on installing this with your factory axle-back, and perhaps maybe a different aftermarket axle-back, there will be some cutting involved. But it's not bad overall, and it'll be about a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter but just because of the cutting involved. The job should take you about a few hours from start to finish. So if you're looking to move away from that heavy factory resonator and add some growl and volume to your exhaust in the process, then be sure to check out the Ford Racing Resonator Delete X-Pipe here at AmericanMuscle.com.
