Calibrated for Optimum Performance. Did you know that the factory Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor could be holding you back from big power numbers? It doesn't matter if you have installed an aftermarket high flow cold air intake or a force induction set up, the simple problem is that the factory calibrated MAF Meter is limited and will "peg" because of too much air. It is just for these situations that Granatelli Motor Sports has custom scaled and calibrated their High Performance MAF Sensor to accurately read higher volumes of air to ensure optimum performance.

Power and Performance. With a 100% increase in airflow over the stock sensor you can expect to see chassis dyno proven increases of 10 to 18 horse power with improvements in performance starting from 2000 rpm's all the way to red line. By installing a GMS High Performance Calibrated MAF Sensor you will not only see an improvement in power and performance, but you will also see an improvement in your fuel mileage and throttle response.

Plug-N-Play Installation. Designed to be a direct fit plug-n-play replacement for the factory sensor this Granatelli Motor Sports Slot-Style MAF Meter installs with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications are required for an easy 15 minute installation. All necessary parts and instructions are included.

Application. This Granatelli Motorsports Slot-Style MAF Sensor Meter is specifically designed to fit 2005 to 2010 GT and Bullitt Mustang models equipped with the Modular 4.6L 3 valve V8 engine. Sold individually.

        • Both are MAF sensors and generally will function all in the same way which is to help boost performance and fuel mileage. Depending on the manufacturer, the design may be slightly different, but the overall function will be the same.

So because Bama cannot create a tune for the MAF, does it hurt to put it on anyway after you already have a Bama Tune?

        • We would not recommend this as this was designed for use with the stock factory setup only.

Had a engine light on for my engine running lean, was told this would fix it but the light came back on within the next week. I’ve had the part installed the past 6 months with my call light still on. I experienced not ONE change in any aspect of my car. Waste of my money

            It's an MAF

Bought this pretty much just to have a new baseline and potentially more accurate monitoring while i set the stage for future induction upgrades. I have yet to notice any particular changes in performance or otherwise. Does what it is supposed to. Four stars until i get around to seeing how well it handles a force inducted system.

            Good Stuff

Got this more for curiosity sake due to my car's OEM FoMoCo MAF sensor has never been replaced (has 144,000 mi on it...I cleaned it a couple of times during this time frame) and due to it being calibrated by GMS I wanted to see if any difference would show up. Took MAF readings from scan tool prior....OEM MAF read 5.14 g\s at full hot idle (Ford Racing Bullit 85mm CAI). Shut down, pulled OEM MAF sensor and installed GMS MAF sensor and started up fine. Allowed engine to go thru warmup to reach full hot idle then read scan tool.....GMS MAF read 5.75 g\s so gained .64 g\s air mass which dropped LTFT's a full 1 lean command on both banks (running slightly rich at idle but well within 10 of stoichometric 0 LTFT's w\ both STFT's switching across 0 using stock OEM tune at the moment). Took a test drive....all running normally w\ a very smooth idle. To make some pulls later to really see if any power changes. So far all is well and GMS MAF sensor is operating fine.

            Love it!

Honestly I didn't think this GMS senor would do much but I'm a little bit surprised. It preformed better then I thought it would. Arguable one of the easiest mods you can ever do to your car and for a little over 200 dollars, I believe its worth it.

            GMS HP MAF

Wow, this really made the difference w/ air flow after installing the 62mm twin throttle body and cool air induction. I recommend the High Performance Meter / Sensor. It takes care of the pegging along with high idle in park as well as, slow drop from first gear (automatic.) hanging at 1000 rpm. then drop with brake. Especially if you have a supercharger or turbo.

            Never installed this

I never installed this see to the bama guys telling me to run stock.. "Unfortunately we need you to go back to the stock MAF in order for the tunes to be compatible with your vehicle. with these aftermarket MAF sensors we've seen on occasion that they skew information perceived by the PCM which dictates our fueling. This is vital that we have proper information being read which we've found that only the stock unit provides. we've had many many cars making well over 700hp while still relying on the stock maf with out issues" That's what they told me. So I returned it.. don't know about the product.
