This Hurst Shifter is ideal for GT, EcoBoost and V6 owners seeking a fast and smooth shifting capability on the street, track or drag strip.

    Superior Construction and Design. Manufactured from premium quality CNC machined billet steel, this shifter is extremely durable and precise and features a brilliant chrome plated upper stick. The classic white knob with the black engraved shift pattern and Hurst logo looks way more performance orientated than the stock shifter. This Competition Plus Shifter also includes a trigger operated reverse lockout that is chrome plated, stylish and functional.

    Direct Replacement. This Hurst Competition Plus Shifter a direct factory replacement for the original 6-speed factory shifter. It ships with everything needed for the swap and shouldn't take longer than an hour to complete.

    Application. This Hurst Competition Plus Shifter with Classic White Knob is designed to fit all 2015 to 2020 Mustangs equipped with the MT-82 6-speed manual transmission, including the V6, EcoBoost and GT models.

    Technical Note. This Hurst Shifter includes a shift knob and handle with a unique thread pattern to Hurst. The factory Mustang shift knob (and aftermarket knobs) will not fit this Hurst shifter.

            NICE

            I love the old school Hurst look. The gears are soooo close together now. Easily goes thru every gear. Only negative is it needs to be assembled out of the box. There are a lot of small parts. It took the performance shop a few hours to assemble it ($$). Great addition and a must have!!

            Shifter works and feels great, but.....

            I purchased this shifter due to the great looks, price, throw reduction and Hurst history. The shifter feels solid and the throw reduction is great. However, my mechanic spent quite a few hours getting the stock shifter uninstalled, building this shifter using some of the OEM parts, and getting it installed. In the long run, it would have been the same cost to purchase a Barton Hybrid3 or MGW X-Spec shifter which are both fully assembled, far superior in build quality, and ready to bolt up. Lesson learned.

            Instructions need work

            I took my time and went very slowly to ensure i made no mistakes, and the finished product is great. Getting to that finished product was a bear. The provided instructions from Hurst are terrible and I had to refer to AM and YouTube to actually assemble and install this shifter. That said, I am extremely happy with the finished product, I just expected better instructions from Hurst.

            This is an amazing feel to the car. You won't be sorry!! I did have Ford Service do the install. Two hours but well worth it. FUN TO DRIVE!

            Excellent product. Instructions need revision.

            Having seen this product in the white and gold Hurst S550 I knew I had to get one. Instructions are clear but there a two points where 10mm bolts are actually 3/8 and step six should be step four. But other than that nice and easy installation. Had it fitted in under two hours and that was with a mistake on my part with a bracket. The only downer on it is that occasonally I end up with reverse rather than first despite the lockout, but I assume that is me ramming it over too far due to the reduction in throw.

            Great throw reduction!

            Had in the car for over a year now. Did take some getting used to but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Only gets 4 stars because have to assemble piece by piece because it uses the factory casing and was a huge pain in the a**. Get your car up as high as possible if you don’t have a lift. Recommend bushings and mount upgrade for the cherry on top.

            Not what you expect.

            Feel like Hurst dropped the ball on this. Yes, it's a shorter throw but still feels flimsy. You still use all of the old bushings and completely destroy the factory shifter to re use lots of parts. Not to mention cut the factory shifter boot. The install was pretty.. time consuming. Would not recommend this shifter. I've installed several and Barton seems to be the best route.

            Great for looks NOT for function

            The shifter definitely looks great. It's an amazing add on to my mustang, however the quality was very disappointing. The collar feels like cheap plastic and the assembly was way more difficult than it needed to be. When your assembling the the collar the nylon threads were extremely difficult to install. The threads bent and broke with little effort and became useless. After installing the shifter I noticed a lot of wiggle when in gear. The shifter looks great from the outside but terrible for installation and function.

            The product itself it great. I wish it said it wasn't ready to install in the description. Has to be completely assembled before you can install it. Small vibration noise on acceleration, other reviews seem to be the same.

            Noisy after install.

            The reduced throw is awesome. Assembly and install was not easy at all. I'm a very experienced wrench and without a lift this install was nightmarish at best. Instructions were mediocre and the gear noise after installing is very disappointing. Would not suggest anyone else purchase this shifter. Would probably be better off with the Barton short shifter lever.

            DO NOT BUY THIS

            I bought this item despite the fact hat there was only 1 review and I have yet to see someone with this shifter. Biggest waste of money I have spent since I have owned a mustang. I expected the best from Hurst and I was let down. The hardware is very cheap and the reverse lockout is a joke (the t-handle lockout is why I got it in he first place). The boot that holds the t-handle onto the stick doesn't move AND they supply nylon threaded pieces to thread into the boot yet they won't stay in there without a lot of locktight and luck. The spring that attatched to the top of the boot- by a screw (actually made of metal) goes to the bottom and is supposed to hook onto a tab (WHICH isn't long enough and has no way of holding the spring) and I guess that's what provides the tension to slide the bolt back into place when you pull up for reverse (keep in mind the lockout collar doesn't move lol). In no way am I bashing AM they helped me all they could but I traded it in for a Barton and all I can say is..go Barton you get what you pay for.

            A whole new feel to the shifter

            The mt-82 transmission had its quirks but compared to this hurst shifter it made me realize how horrible the standard shifter from the factory was. Completely transformed the car and allows perfectly smooth shifts.
