Deep Muscle Car Tone. Installing a Hurst Elite Series Cat-Back Exhaust will add a deep, muscle car tone to your coyote Powered Mustang that sounds great when cruising the boulevard or blasting down the highway. This muscular sound is achieved with the help of a pair of Hurst mufflers and an X-Pipe that replaces the factory resonator.

Improves Exhuast Flow for More Power. The Hurst Elite Cat-Back System was designed to significantly increase the exhaust flow of your coyote powered S550 Mustang. By replacing the restrictive factory 2.5" piping with larger diameter 3” piping, a pair of straight-through Hurst mufflers and an X-Pipe, you will see a noticeable improvement in horsepower and torque.

Hurst Mufflers. Hurst mufflers utilize a high-thermal sound absorption barrier with a large 3" straight-through performance core that provides a deep, classic tone reminiscent of Hurst's iconic heritage. Made from 304S stainless steel Hurst mufflers are fully polished for an impressive muscle car appearance.

X-Pipe. Designed to eliminate the restrictive factory resonator the include X-Pipe provides maximum scavenging to improve exhaust flow for more power. The X-Pipe not only helps increase performance, but it also adds a loud raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

High Quality Construction. The Elite Series Cat-Back Exhaust is manufactured in the USA by Flowmaster exclusively for Hurst. Made from high quality 3" diameter 304S stainless steel piping for strength and excellent corrosion resistance, this Cat-Back features smooth mandrel bends to eliminate any power robbing kinks. A set of 4" mirror polished 304S stainless steel tips, with laser-etched Hurst logos, finish off the system for bold muscle car styling.

Bolt-On Upgrade. The Hurst Elite Cat-Back Exhaust System bolts straight up in the stock OEM location with no modifications required for installation. Making this Cat-Back a direct fit bolt-on replacement upgrade.

Application. This Hurst Elite Cat-Back Exhaust System with X-Pipe is designed to fit all 2015-2017 Fastback and Convertible GT Mustangs equipped with either aftermarket shorty headers or the stock manifolds reusing the factory catalytic converters.

    Great sound and Excellent fit

    I purchased this systems after having tried a couple other cat-back systems prior, in addition to just an X-pipe on the factory system. Once you get your factory or previous system off the vehicle, installation for this system is very easy, thanks to the simple three-piece design. Unlike the other Flowmaster-manufactured cat-back systems, this requires no cutting (a major plus.) Be sure to follow the directions though: you do need to remove all four exhaust hangers instead of just the two middle-section hangers like other systems may have you do. The sound is very clean at most areas of the rev range, however it can be very boomy-sounding inside the vehicle between 1500-2000 RPM (so, you know, virtually off of every stop until you get up to speed.) Once you back off the throttle, it gets far less intense inside the vehicle. Drone is not apparent while cruising at higher a higher RPM. As some of the videos for this system suggest, it has a very distinct sound that is not overly harsh like other brands' "loud" systems, but this is still definitely not a quiet system by any means. The only thing I would like improved with this system would be more control of the boominess during regular driving--if you're sensitive to such things and this is going on a daily driver, you may need to reconsider (the video with some interior sound time does not adequately capture the effect.) Of course, being an X-piped system with straight-through mufflers, there's probably only so much they could have done.
