    Improves Handling. Eliminate the unwanted flex and twist commonly found with the poorly designed factory panhard bar. The J&M Mustang Adjustable Panhard Rod keeps the rear axle located in the optimum position under the rear of the car, dramatically improving cornering and overall handling.

    On Car Adjustable. You can easily fine tune your suspension with the Panhard bar installed on your mustang just by turning a wrench, no need to remove it to make adjustments.

    Upgradable Modular Design. J&M designed this Street Panhard bar to be upgradable to Street/Race or Race versions simply by replacing the ends. So there is no need to purchase a whole new panhard rod when you decide to upgrade your ride.

    Superior Construction. This tubular adjustable panhard rod is manufactured from high strength billet aluminum alloy making it extremely strong and very light weight. The ends are forged from 1040 super high strength steel and are then CNC machined to form the threads to the exact length and size as the rod ends and feature durable polyurethane bushings for long life.

    Needed to adjust? So I've heard from some of my friends that an adjustable panhard rod is necessary if you lower your ride because your rear end will shift with the new lowering springs and the rod will push it back into place... Is this true?

    • 100% true. The rear end of your Mustang will shift when installing lowering springs. This panhard bar will recenter your axle under the car perfectly and will improve the overall handling. Definitely a great investment!

    Do I need this and camber bolts? I just bought a 2014 GT and was looking at lowering it. Do I need a panhard bar along with the adjustable camber bolts?

    • I have the SR performance springs on my car with the J&M adj panhard bar. I don't have the camber bolts and don't' need them as of now. If you go lower than 1.5 inches you will need the camber bolts for sure. All lowered vehicles 05-14 need an adj panhard bar to align the rear end back to the center of the car.

      2nd time is the charm?

      Install was overall smooth thanks to the AM install guide, but tightening the jam nut on the passenger side can be a little tricky. Vitally important to torque the through bolts properly on both ends of the rod, and don't forget to grease the bushings with automotive grade synthetic grease! Install with jacking up car/lowering took a little over 2.5 hours as taking the centering measurements and making the adjustments needs to be done carefully. I used a string taped to the car body with the nut tied to the string and then measured to the center of the wheel. Worked pretty well. This is my second JandM bar since my first one failed after 4 yrs, I believe due to the shop not getting the jam nut tight enough and allowed play between the yoke and bar threads (bad idea). Believe me you do not want to have a panhard bar fail on you, trust me it was not fun. This time I did it DIY, and correctly! Anyway the new bar looks great and is full billet aluminum, this is a good quality piece that saves a few pounds off the stock bar. Thanks to AM for understanding the failure and offering me a sharp discount on the replacement, they still stand behind their products. Car feels good and tight now through curves and over bumps, keeps reminding that you have a live axle back there *grin*. FYI I am lowered 1.5" on SR springs and FRPP shocks/struts as well so this helps to locate the axle properly and round out the package. Happy with the purchase and performance after about 500 miles.       Descent upgrade !

      I’d have to say i did not expect this to do a hole lot. Was easy to install in less then an hour for my first time ever, torquing passenger side bolt was hardest part. Car was off by about 2 inches , straigtend up and you can tell the difference , def. on sharp corner roads , it feels a bit different (stiffer) i’d say. If buy this and i did research first so i knew , but you must buy a 90deg. Grease cert fitting for the driver side , has a straight but it gets blocked after install so one can not lube it fully or ever again. So be sure and get one! Great item though! No performance upgrade really , but does serve its purpose on handling evenly. I still think it was worth the money in my option . Easy to adjust to.

      Works, but noisy

      Fitment is fine, can't adjust passenger side on car. Noisy on the road, sounds like something is loose. Checked over and the bushings are just not enough.

      overall pretty good

      It is a good product with 2 minor faults. it comes with 2 straight grease zerks but it requires a 90˚ zerk on the drivers side and the other issue is you can not adjust the bar without removing it from at least one mount, both minor issues, otherwise it is a good quality product.

      Great Product!!!

      Great product and a little on the cheaper side when I was trying to budget my build after lowering my mustang. Great quality, easy fit, little difficulty getting it adjusted to the previous length to get it in, but once in there it performs great and tightens of the rear end well. Would recommend!

      Quality part

      Bought this because it was the only billet aluminum panhard rod I could find. I'm very happy with the quality, appearance and weight. Only down side is jam nuts for adjustment are on both ends, the BMR bar with the single adjustment location in the middle is more easily set while underneath the car.

      Had many, I like this one

      I've built a few 5.0/4.6s over the years and customers bring me everything in the book to put on their car. Of the panhard bars ive put on for my own or a customer's I have to say this is one of my favorites. Of course the price makes it a choice amongst many but what many fail to see that this bar is right up there in quality as your more high end bars. I currently have it on my 2010 4.6 and my wife's 2012 5.0.

      JM Panhard Rod

      After installing progressive lowering springs, I did notice that the rear differential was off center. Ordered and installed the new panhard rod and made the adjustment to correct centering. Very simple to install and adjust. Also dropped at least 10lbs of weight from the factory rod. I do recommend using the proper torque spec and rechecking after a week of driving. Very happy with purchase!

      Best bang or your buck

      Great product that offers some weight reduction as it feels lighter and stronger then the stock panhard bar. It offers great adjustability and does it s job very well. I no longer have the rear end kick out to the side when the tires break loose. The car just spins straight and stays on line. It is also easy to install and can be done on your garage on a few jack stands. (15min)

      Great product

      This is a great adjustable panhard bar. Very quick to install and also very light weight. Bought along side a pair of adjustable dampening coilovers and couldn't be happier with this trackbar. Only issue I ran into was tightening the frame side jam nut. But that was more due to a design flaw on fords part. Just very hard to get a wrench in the space. Other than that it's a great purchase for anyone lowering their vehicle to keep their axle in spec
