Description
Improve Horsepower. A K&N 57 FIPK Cold Air Intake will filter out harmful power robbing particles all while improving the airflow into your Mustang’s engine for better gas mileage and more power. This K&N kit replaces your 5.0L Mustangs paper filter element and restrictive stock intake tubing while retaining the factory air box for impressive TQ and HP gains.
No Computer Tuning Needed. Unlike in other Cold Air Intakes on the market, K&N CAI does not need a computer re-tune. The engineers at K&N did exceptional work to improve your pony’s power.
Filters out harmful contaminants. The K&N Filter has a unique layered design that successfully filter’s out harmful contaminants. K&N Air Filter is made up of specially treated cotton gauze sheets sandwiched between 2 epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens making this Filter durable. K&N has cotton gauze layers treated with a uniquely formulated grade of oil which causes a tackiness across the cotton's microscopic strands forming a powerful filtering media that protects the engine.
Washable and Reusable Filter. K&N high flow air filters are reusable. That means you will not need to buy new filter after every few thousand miles; you can just clean and re-oil it and save your money.
Straight Foward Installation. The way K&N FIPK Cold Intake Kit is designed you can easily install it with just basic hand tools. No special tools and extra modifications required for proper installation. All instructions and necessary parts are included.
Recommended Upgrade. It is recommended that you should reprogram your vehicle computer (ECU) with a Mustang Handheld Tuner for the best performance possible out of this cold air intake.
Application. This K&N Series 57 FIPK Modular Intake Tube with a Drop-In Air Filter is designed to fit the 1986 to 1988 GT Mustangs with 5.0L engine and it doesn't need computer re-tuning. This Intake Tube reuses the stock air box.
