Description
High-Performance Clutch Kit. The McLeod Super Street Pro Organic/Ceramic Clutch Kit with Master Cylinder; 26-Spline is engineered for street drivers who have moderately modified vehicles and require reliable holding power during occasional track use. It offers smooth engagement and enhanced grip to handle performance upgrades such as bolt-ons and mild forced induction efficiently. This clutch kit ensures an improved driving experience by balancing street comfort with the durability needed for increased horsepower demands.
Construction and Appearance. This clutch kit features a dual-face disc combining premium organic material for smooth street driving and ceramic for superior grip under heavy load. The diaphragm pressure plate provides increased clamp load with moderate pedal effort. The assembly includes a sprung hub and a full face/segmented disc design. The kit comes with a large bore master cylinder and includes a pilot bushing alongside an alignment tool for precise installation.
Installation. The installation process is moderately straightforward, requiring removal of the factory flywheel, as this clutch kit does not fit the factory flywheel and requires the use of flywheel 460530, sold separately. No drilling is necessary, but professional installation is recommended to ensure proper fitment and function.
Warranty. This product is backed by a 90-day warranty covering defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase.
Application. Specifically designed to fit the 1997-2004 Corvette C5 chassis. Note that it does not fit the factory flywheel; flywheel 460530 is required and sold separately. The kit includes a large bore master cylinder but does not include a replacement slave cylinder.
