Description

These long tube headers feature free-flowing plumbing rendered in a stepped design and 3-inch wide collectors. These factors combine to produce maximum exhaust gas velocity, which in turn boosts power and torque at the rear wheels. This extra power can certainly prove useful whether on the track or the streets.
Aggressive New Tone for Your Aggressive New Power. Not only will these headers upgrade your Mustang’s performance, but these will also upgrade your exhaust tone. Specifically, these headers will transform your stock tone into a throaty roar that’s heavy on the bass. This way, your aggressive new performance comes with the sound to back it up.
Includes Catted X-Pipe. These Pypes long tube headers include one of their high-performance catted X-pipe. This X-pipe is designed to work with the headers to further improve exhaust gas velocity by equalizing scavenging pulses. Additionally, this component includes a pair of high-flow catalytic converters, ensuring ideal emission levels are maintained.
Rigid Build Quality. These long tube headers are manufactured from high-grade 1.625-inch wide tubular 304 stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance. Additionally, these tubes are mandrel-bent and expertly welded, increasing rigidity and eliminating any turbulence-producing areas along their inner structure. To round out their construction, the headers receive a polished finish, which makes the tubes less prone to corrosion while also giving these a sleek under-chassis look.
ECU Re-Tune Required. Since these headers include a catted X-pipe, installing these will necessitate a re-tune of your Mustang’s ECU. This is to maximize performance gains while also ensuring your check engine light doesn’t come on.
Installation. The wiring harness needs to be disconnected from the back of the block. That should give you enough length for a proper installation.
