      Description

More Power and Sound. SLP's famous Loudmouth II "Bullet Style" race mufflers offer minimal restriction, increased horsepower and an aggressive throaty tone, that is only second to the Loudmouth "shotgun" race resonators for sound.

SLP Modular Design. SLP manufactures their Mustang catback exhaust systems with a unique modular design that allows you to easily and quickly swap out the included mufflers with any of the other SLP mufflers or resonators they make to suit your driving needs.

Superior SLP Construction. The SLP Loud Mouth II "bullet" mufflers are constructed from high hand-polished 304 stainless steel with an embossed SLP logo for great looks, and feature a ceramic-wrapped, perforated core that reduces high-frequency noise and in-car resonance for a rich, throaty exhaust note.

Modifications Required. This Muffler was designed to be used on mutliple applications, as it is not a direct fit replacement part. In order to install this Muffler properly on your vehicle, some modifications to the exhaust system will be required.

Application. These SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers are designed to easily replace the existing mufflers or resonators in any of SLP's 1979 to 2004 Mustang Cat-Back exhaust systems. The may also be used in the fabrication of custom exhaust systems.

        Great sounds

Had slp lm1s on the car from previous owner. Put a Bassani catted x on and the car sounded like a trumpet. Switched out the lm1s with lm2s and now I love the way the car sounds. Pretty quiet until you really get on it. Sounds good really happy with it.

        SLP Loudmouth 2’s

I was running the Pypes mufflers like these, only had them on for about two years and the inside of the broke and was rattling at low rpm. So i brought the loudmouth 2’s, very good quality welds on the outside of the mufflers. The sounds is about the same as the Pypes mufflers, Hopefully the make it more than two years.

      Questions & Answers (25 answers)

      5 Top Rated Questions

Are these compatible with the Pypes True Dual Off-Road Exhaust? and whether or not it is or not, what would be the best v6 dual exhaust conversion kit to get both the hugest hp gains and be as loud as possible?

      • The SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers are 2.5" in diameter, and the Pypes True Dual Exhaust is also 2.5" in diameter, so it would fit together, depending on the location. If you were looking to replace these mufflers with the mufflers on the true dual exhaust, this would not work, due to the true dual exhaust mufflers having an offset inlet and outlet on the muffler itself. The true dual exhaust with the smallest mufflers and without catalytic converters will create the largest gains.

What's the difference between the mufflers and the resonators?

      • The SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers - Pair (79-04 All) are going to have a straight-through design for increased power that will make a rich, throaty exhaust tone. They offer minimal restriction which will give your car an increase in power. The SLP Loudmouth Resonators - Pair (79-04 All), item # 23032, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/slp-loudmouth-shotgun-resonators.html) have a very loud, aggressive tone. These Resonator's are designed to have virtually no restrictions. This will free up more power and help produce the most aggressive sound. The main difference between the two is the amount of restriction, which will give your car different sounds. The Resonator's are going to be extremely loud while the Muffler's will be loud with a throaty tone.

Best mufflers What would be the best sounding muffler for mustang gt ?? I want agressive sound , but not to much just driving around. Thanks

      • i would recommend the loud mouth resonators if you have the stock h pipe. thats what i had and it sounded pretty darn good. if you have an x pipe i recommend the loud mouth 2's which are actual mufflers.

Can I use these on a 2019 Mustang Gt since the are welded on? I just need to tone the drone down a bit. The drone my car creates with my H Pipe and MBRP Axleback is a little too much. But I love the loud sound and dont want to lose it. Or would the race resonator's help with cabin noise and not compromise the loud sound?

      • These are a universal fitment, so there is no guarantee for these to perfectly fit for any application. Always expect at least some modification with products advertised with a universal fitment. These will be of the loudest mufflers we have to offer, so if you swap these for your MBRP mufflers it will be louder.

      Are these legal in CA?

      • These have not bee tested for if they pass California exhaust laws. Also, sound levels can vary depending on other modifications.

My current setup on my 96 gt is stock headers, bassani o/r xpipe to the slp loudmouth 1 catback. Super loud and waaaay too raspy for my liking. Sounds "trumpety" if tht makes sense. My question is, will these LM 2 mufflers help make the tone less raspy? Or wut mufflers can you suggest to help facilitate a more muscle car (deeper tone) sound? Thanks 1 answer

I have a 2003 Mach 1 everything is stock at this time. I would like the car to have a deep throaty sound. Something that Sounds good at idle and smooth at cruising speed but sounds mean when I get on the gas. All I will be changing at this time would be the muffler.
