More Power and Sound. SLP's famous Loudmouth II "Bullet Style" race mufflers offer minimal restriction, increased horsepower and an aggressive throaty tone, that is only second to the Loudmouth "shotgun" race resonators for sound.

SLP Modular Design. SLP manufactures their Mustang catback exhaust systems with a unique modular design that allows you to easily and quickly swap out the included mufflers with any of the other SLP mufflers or resonators they make to suit your driving needs.

Superior SLP Construction. The SLP Loud Mouth II "bullet" mufflers are constructed from high hand-polished 304 stainless steel with an embossed SLP logo for great looks, and feature a ceramic-wrapped, perforated core that reduces high-frequency noise and in-car resonance for a rich, throaty exhaust note.

Modifications Required. This Muffler was designed to be used on mutliple applications, as it is not a direct fit replacement part. In order to install this Muffler properly on your vehicle, some modifications to the exhaust system will be required.

Application. These SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers are designed to easily replace the existing mufflers or resonators in any of SLP's 1979 to 2004 Mustang Cat-Back exhaust systems. The may also be used in the fabrication of custom exhaust systems.

    Ask a Question

Are these compatible with the Pypes True Dual Off-Road Exhaust? and whether or not it is or not, what would be the best v6 dual exhaust conversion kit to get both the hugest hp gains and be as loud as possible?

    grandpajenkins

    • The SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers are 2.5" in diameter, and the Pypes True Dual Exhaust is also 2.5" in diameter, so it would fit together, depending on the location. If you were looking to replace these mufflers with the mufflers on the true dual exhaust, this would not work, due to the true dual exhaust mufflers having an offset inlet and outlet on the muffler itself. The true dual exhaust with the smallest mufflers and without catalytic converters will create the largest gains.

Best mufflers What would be the best sounding muffler for mustang gt ?? I want agressive sound , but not to much just driving around. Thanks

    Chuck1950

    • i would recommend the loud mouth resonators if you have the stock h pipe. thats what i had and it sounded pretty darn good. if you have an x pipe i recommend the loud mouth 2's which are actual mufflers.

I got a 91 gt..wich slp loudmouth would you guys consider?...i want my stang to make noise either on idle or on the road..thanks

    AlvidaD

    • The SLP Loudmouth II Bullet Style Mufflers will utilize a design similar to a glass pack muffler, using a sound deadening material behind a louvered panel to reduce exhaust noise vs open headers. The SLP Loudmouth Bullet Style Mufflers will have no sound deadening material, and will just be one open chamber, essentially acting as though no muffler was installed at all.

I have. 2012 v6 all stock, just muffler deletes, will the SLP II give me an aggressive tone, would it be worth it?

    PeteY

    • The SLP Loudmouth II Center Bullet Style Mufflers will give your mustang a much louder sound. As far as the tone you are looking for it will be deep and raspy. I suggest listening to some clips of them on your model mustang.

I have a 2003 Mach 1 everything is stock at this time. I would like the car to have a deep throaty sound. Something that Sounds good at idle and smooth at cruising speed but sounds mean when I get on the gas. All I will be changing at this time would be the muffler. Will the loudmouth 2 give me what I'm looking for?

    TimM

    • The SLP Loudmouth II Center/Center Bullet Style Mufflers will give you a loud open throttle sound. They will be more raspy than deep in sound, but very aggressive.

SLP Loudmouth II or Pypes M80? Which one is louder? I'm only replacing the mufflers. Everything else will be stock. Thank you!

    Anonymous

    • The M80's may be slightly louder than the SLP's because of their aggressive tone. I suggest checking out some sound clips on YouTube to see which you like the best.

      Best sounding SLP

I have the SLP loudmouth II Cat Back system on my 02 mustang and completely love it! Went with an H pipe instead of X. It has the perfect tone to it, not obnoxiously loud all through rpms. Great rumble at idle but when you get to your higher rpms this system really comes alive and sounds amazing! It's guaranteed to turn heads and you will have a lot of people tell you your car sounds great!

      Awesome Pair of Mufflers!

I have ran Loudmouth 1's for over a year and they are just LOUD all the time. I decided to swap them out for the Loudmouth 2's and I could not be happier. No where near as raspy but still give off a great sound and volume.

      SLP Loudmouth

Has a beautiful race growl sound. Not raspy at all which is what I like. With turn downs and just these mufflers and a cam you break necks easily.

      Perfect

Ordered these mufflers to replace the Borlas that came on my '01 Bullitt GT. Man, am I happy I did. These mufflers are the perfect combo. Not too loud for normal day to day driving, but they will scream when you hit the gas hard. Very pleased with my purchase.

      Good swap from LM1

Previously had LoudMouth 1, and they was way too raspy with my BBK catted Xpipe. Swapped With LoudMouth 2 much deeper exhaust note.

Nice sound but a little too tame

I had a shop install these. They sound really good. Nice growl with a pop here and there on decel, and a nice note when you open them up. There is a little bit of drone. While it's not too bad, it certainly makes the car a poor place for conversation. After about 4 months I got tired of them and upgraded to LM1s. If what you're after is volume, I don't recommend these. Lots of people told me they were loud, but it wasn't enough. I'm running stock headers, and an O/R H-pipe.

      Love it

Always been a fan of slp products. I have BBK shorties and catted x but wasn't loud enough with MagnaFlow. So I jumped to lm2's. Sounds amazing as always and more aggressive. Highly recommend

      Ehhhh

I still don't know how they sound and I got them a month ago! What American muscle fails to tell you is you need special hangers and clamps for these and I have been waiting on them for a few weeks.... maybe they will sound good on my 98' cobra but not worth this aggravation... all I want to do is put them on!

Wow, this is how this Cobra should have sounded all along. I wish I had done it sooner. I already had a Bassani x pipe and did a cat delete at the same time I had the SLP's installed. It has a very nice sound now.

      Don't follow, lead!

Everyone has flowmaster's. EVERYONE! I did a lot of research before buying these SLP's and it was the best decision I could make! I wanted something different than a flowmaster. They have a perfect sound, nice and aggressive rumble without the raspiness of a flowmaster. They don't drown out the interior unless you step on it. Do yourself a favor and get these SLP Loudmouth II's! I had a shop install then since your going from a offset muffler, these don't line up.

      Good yet bad

I put the loudmouth 2 on my 99 GT. Mods are heads, ex270ah cam, headers, o/r x pipe and tuned. It's sounds pretty mean at a idle and at up to 3k. But you get above 3k and it sounds like a mean old Chevy pickup... If you're into that kind noise then you've found it! No tone or good muscle car sound.. Just noise and clatter
