Had slp lm1s on the car from previous owner. Put a Bassani catted x on and the car sounded like a trumpet. Switched out the lm1s with lm2s and now I love the way the car sounds. Pretty quiet until you really get on it. Sounds good really happy with it.Helpful (2)

SLP Loudmouth 2’s
I was running the Pypes mufflers like these, only had them on for about two years and the inside of the broke and was rattling at low rpm. So i brought the loudmouth 2’s, very good quality welds on the outside of the mufflers. The sounds is about the same as the Pypes mufflers, Hopefully the make it more than two years.Helpful (2)

Are these compatible with the Pypes True Dual Off-Road Exhaust? and whether or not it is or not, what would be the best v6 dual exhaust conversion kit to get both the hugest hp gains and be as loud as possible?
The SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers are 2.5" in diameter, and the Pypes True Dual Exhaust is also 2.5" in diameter, so it would fit together, depending on the location. If you were looking to replace these mufflers with the mufflers on the true dual exhaust, this would not work, due to the true dual exhaust mufflers having an offset inlet and outlet on the muffler itself. The true dual exhaust with the smallest mufflers and without catalytic converters will create the largest gains.
What's the difference between the mufflers and the resonators?
The SLP Loudmouth II Mufflers - Pair (79-04 All) are going to have a straight-through design for increased power that will make a rich, throaty exhaust tone. They offer minimal restriction which will give your car an increase in power. The SLP Loudmouth Resonators - Pair (79-04 All), item # 23032, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/slp-loudmouth-shotgun-resonators.html) have a very loud, aggressive tone. These Resonator's are designed to have virtually no restrictions. This will free up more power and help produce the most aggressive sound. The main difference between the two is the amount of restriction, which will give your car different sounds. The Resonator's are going to be extremely loud while the Muffler's will be loud with a throaty tone.
Best mufflers What would be the best sounding muffler for mustang gt ?? I want agressive sound , but not to much just driving around. Thanks
i would recommend the loud mouth resonators if you have the stock h pipe. thats what i had and it sounded pretty darn good. if you have an x pipe i recommend the loud mouth 2's which are actual mufflers.
Can I use these on a 2019 Mustang Gt since the are welded on? I just need to tone the drone down a bit. The drone my car creates with my H Pipe and MBRP Axleback is a little too much. But I love the loud sound and dont want to lose it. Or would the race resonator's help with cabin noise and not compromise the loud sound?
These are a universal fitment, so there is no guarantee for these to perfectly fit for any application. Always expect at least some modification with products advertised with a universal fitment. These will be of the loudest mufflers we have to offer, so if you swap these for your MBRP mufflers it will be louder.
Are these legal in CA?
These have not bee tested for if they pass California exhaust laws. Also, sound levels can vary depending on other modifications.
These have a universal fitment, so we cannot inaugurate bolt-up fitment on any application. Please expect a possibility of modifications being required due to this.
The Loudmouth II's will have a bullet style where as the 1's have a shotgun style.
Both exhausts will be great systems. This really comes down to which sound you like the best. We recommend listening to sound clips of each to hear what you like the best.
Sound is a subjective measure. You will want to listen to sound clips of this muffler to see if you like how this will sound on your car.
The loudmouth 2 mufflers would definitely tone down the exhaust a bit, however, you would still have that raspy tone due to the x-pipe.
The 2.5" SLP Loudmouth II Center/Center Bullet Style Mufflers do not have a stepdown for 2.25" piping; and cannot be installed without modification.
The SLP Loudmouth II Bullet Style Mufflers will utilize a design similar to a glass pack muffler, using a sound deadening material behind a louvered panel to reduce exhaust noise vs open headers. The SLP Loudmouth Bullet Style Mufflers will have no sound deadening material, and will just be one open chamber, essentially acting as though no muffler was installed at all.
The SLP Loudmouth II Center Bullet Style Mufflers will give your mustang a much louder sound. As far as the tone you are looking for it will be deep and raspy. I suggest listening to some clips of them on your model mustang.
The SLP Loudmouth II Center/Center Bullet Style Mufflers will give you a loud open throttle sound. They will be more raspy than deep in sound, but very aggressive.
