Description

More Air, More Power. Installing a SR Performance Cold Air Intake on your 2011-2014 V6 Mustang will significantly improve its power and performance. This Intake replaces the restrictive, factory air box and paper filter with a high flow intake tube and filter assembly for a noticeable increase in both horsepower and torque. This SR Performance Cold Air Intake not only improves airflow for more power, but it will also add an aggressive appearance under the hood with its black powder coated aluminum intake tube.

No Tune Required. SR Performance engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your V6 powered Pony without the need of reprogramming your Mustang's computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.

Reusable Air Filter. The included high flow air filter effectively filters out power robbing particles with its multi layer design. The specially treated media creates a sticky surface to capture microscopic contaminants before they can enter your Mustang's engine and do harm. Seeing that the filter is reusable there is no need to buy a new filter every few thousand miles. You can just clean the filter, re-oil it, and reinstall - saving yourself money in the long haul.

Simple Bolt-on Installation. SR Performance designed their Cold Air Intake kit to be a direct bolt-on replacement. With no special tools or extra modifications required installation can be completed in under an hour. All parts and detailed instructions are included.

Not CARB Certified. This SR Performance Cold Air Intake is not CARB certified, therefore it is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road use only.

Application. This SR Performance Black Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2011-2014 Mustangs equipped with the 3.7L V6 engine.

Tight fit

Tight fit take your time! Place the filter on the tube threw the heat shield before you place in car. IT IS A TIGHT FIT!

1 2013 V6 - No Installation Time: Afternoon

Don't buy!!!

Today, I installed this version of SR's CAI. I have to say this cold air intake is a freaking joke! First off, the install instructions aren't clear enough. Secondly, this product decreased my mustang's horsepower and torque. I know this because, I did a 0-60 test using my track app which comes with the premium mustang. This product made my car 7-10 seconds slower. I am very dissatisfied, and no, I wasn't expecting gains in HP or torque, without a tune. However, I wasn't expecting losing power and becoming slower either. Oh and one thing to note, American Muscle will not accept the product after install unless ruled defective! That requires getting a letterhead from a credible shop, stating the reason why the shop feels like it is defective. So to prevent all of that red tape, don't buy!!! One more thing i forgot to mention is, the engine sounds excellent once installed, but not worth the performance lost! I hope this review helps!

Great cold air intake

I love it!!! It’s cost friendly and sounds great. It fits really snug under the hood and pull in a great amount of air. The style of it also looks great mounted on to the engine. All in all this is a great cold air intake and I’m glad I purchased it.
