Project car check
The cold air intake is a great bang for your buck. Not only does it change the amount of air the turbo is taking in but it increases the loudness of your car and gives a minor change of horsepower. One thing I would recommend is to get a tune for it down the road due to the fact that it does burn gas a bit quickerHelpful (0)

Extremely good for the price
Having only paid around $170 for this shipped to my door, I wasn't expecting the best product in the world. I was actually even sort of worried that it wasn't a quality product. It was half the price of everyone else - how could they deliver a similar experience? Fitment isn't perfect, but definitely not a problem to install correctly. I broke the charge pipe air temperature sensor from the original intake while removing it (there's a small tab holding it in place that snapped, rendering it unable to be reinstalled), but it's a cheap part ($14 at a dealer), and it was user error, not the fault of the intake. I opted to leave the top of the air box open for better looks, but either way would have been great. The polished aluminum looks really good with my Ingot Silver Metallic car, and it definitely stands out over the black option, but time will tell if it scratches easily. The sound is very good. It has a bright tone, and it even flutters sometimes, although I'm not sure what the trick is to get it to do that. Considering this is a no tune required intake, I wasn't expecting any performance gains, but I feel like the car is more responsive overall. That may be a placebo, however. Had this intake been $300 or $400, I would be more critical of it. But considering it's pretty much half the price of a lot of the competition, there isn't that much to complain about. It looks good, sounds great, and I bet you could tune it to actually give you some performance gains. It's definitely well worth the $155 shipping if you're on a budget like me, or you don't want to spend a fortune on mods.Helpful (0)

Great product. It’s like a breath of fresh air when you accelerate. Feels faster at higher speeds. Sounds great but flutters at a low speed. Bought it almost a year ago and it’s still clean, no dirt or dust accumulation. Amazing quality, price, performance. Easy install. Would definitely recommendHelpful (0)

Looks great, sounds better.
Pretty easy to install. Sounds really good. Didn’t break the bank either. Haven’t lost any gas mileage like previous reviews either. Car is happy.Helpful (0)

GLAD I MADE THIS PURCHASE
This is the first mod on my '17 Eco Boost. It eliminated some of the turbo lag and I get a bigger boost from 3rd to 4th gear. I also like the growl and hiss it puts out, turns heads for sure. Going to get a tuner next.Helpful (0)

Bang for the money
CAI surely improved the performance and helped in improving the gas mileage in long high way travels. There seems to be dead spot from 1.5-2k rpm but after that it lightens up !Helpful (0)

SR Performance CAI Polished
Looks sweet under the hood and makes a lot of jaws drop when you let off the gas... but, has an abundance of turbo flutter and it sounds almost like something is scraping when you accelerate hard. If anyone has any reason why it's doing that please let me know. Overall, it is very nice and works beautifully. I've never heard of my issue so maybe I did something wrong, who knows.Helpful (11)
Is a tune necessary after installing this cold air intake?
The SR Performance Cold Air Intake does not require a computer Re-Tune after installation.
Does the Bama Rev-X tuner support this cia, if one was planning on tuning for the intake?
The Bama Rev-X tuner will support this SR Performance Cold Air Intake.
Why doesn’t this fit the 18-19 ecoboost?
The 18-19s have a slightly different engine layout due to the facelift they have.
I installed this CAI onto my '15 ecoboost premium in January and now, in March, it has started making a very strange almost scraping noise when I accelerate hard and let off and it sounds like it's coming from my left leg. If there is anything you can think of to why it's doing this PLEASE let me know. Thanks!
Without having the opportunity to physically look into your vehicle in person we would be unable to diagnose your vehicles issue. We advise having the vehicle taken into a local shop so a professional mechanic can look into this in person.
Will this intake work with a 2018 Ecoboost? I've seen reviews saying yes.
