    Review & Install Video

Hey everybody, Justin with AmericanMuscle.com here. In this video, I'm gonna be breaking down the SR Performance Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit, available for your 94 to 04 Mustang GT, V6, and Mach1, and all 94 to 98 Mustang Cobras. This is another great option from SR Performance that will ultimately help your ride perform better, but without you having to empty your wallet in the process. In fact, this is the most affordable set of sway bars for your SN95 here on the site, and they're still gonna offer all the same performance benefits as some of the more expensive options. The stock sway bars these SR options are gonna replace on your 94 to 04 Mustang are really all over the place when it comes to overall diameter, but they do have one thing in common. They can all be upgraded. Now I've always said if there's ever one mod that would be instantly effective when it comes to handling and something you're truly gonna feel the moment you get behind the steering wheel, it's a set of aftermarket sway bars. So in terms of what you can expect when installing a set of aftermarket sway bars here, well, overall the car's gonna feel far more stable and basically suffer from far less body roll than before whenever you're doing some hard cornering or hard maneuvering. And this is gonna help the car feel more composed overall. So know that you know what you can expect when installing a set of aftermarket sway bars, let's break down the SR kit a little further, starting with the front bar here, which is the larger of the two bars. Now, this bar is gonna be 35 millimeters in diameter. and it's hollow or tubular, which is nice because it's gonna save a lot of weight up front of the car compared to a heavier solid bar. But it's still gonna offer all the same performance and stiffness characteristics of that heavier solid bar. The rear bar, on the other hand, is 24 millimeters in diameter, and it's going to be a solid bar. Now with both of these sway bars working together, you're gonna help eliminate the understeering characteristics of your SN95. You know that feeling where it just wants to plow through the turns. Instead, the car should help rotate through the turns much better, and again still feel very balanced overall. The sway bars from SR Performance are cold-formed from high-quality aircraft grade steel before being finished off in this attractive black powder coat, which is just gonna help resist any corrosion, to help look good under the car for years to come. In addition to the bars themselves, SR does include brand new M links here, along with new polyurethane bushings to help replace some of that worn out stuff on your stocker, in addition to all the hardware needed for the installation. Speaking of getting dirty, we're gonna call this a two out of three on the wrench chart here in terms of overall difficulty, because obviously there is some work going on underneath the car. In addition, some of you guys out there will be dealing with 20-year-old bolts that may be a little rusty. Overall, the job really isn't all that difficult. Of course, a lift will make life a whole lot easier, but either way figure a couple of hours from start to finish to get both bars installed. Again. guys, if you're not satisfied with what I'm telling you in these videos and you want more info, well then I encourage you to pick the brain of one of our highly trained Mustang experts. You can reach out anytime here at AM. So if you're looking for quite possibly one of the best bang for your buck handling mods you can do for your SN95, then be sure to check out the SR Performance Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit, available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Improves Handling. Improve the handling performance of your SN95/New Edge Mustang with a SR Performance Sway Bar Kit. Sway Bars, sometimes referred to as Anti Roll Kits, reduce body roll through increased design stiffness over the factory bars. The result is superior handling, flatter cornering and better stability in any driving situation.

Superior Quality and Materials. SR Performance manufactures their Sway Bars from cold-formed, high-strength aircraft-grade steel for precision performance, and completes them in a black powder coat finish for great looks and long life. The front bar is a 35mm diameter tubular design, where the rear bar is 24mm diameter solid design.

Application. This SR Performance Sway Bar Kit is designed for use on the 1994 to 2004 coupe and convertible Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and 1994-1998 SVT Cobra models. Does not fit 1999-2004 IRS equipped SVT Cobra.

      Great product

Sway bars look good. Rear one went right in. Nice to finally have one. Front ones took a little longer to install. Working on the ground is hard. Bar went in great but the links are a challenge. Nice product overall.

      2004 V6 Install

Installed on '04 V6 convertible which had no rear sway bar from factory. The rear sway bar installed easily in under an hour. Pay attention to the direction of the nuts as they're lock nuts, so one side threads on easily and the other has the locking feature. The front sway bar installed in a couple hours. Compressing the rubber bushings to get the links installed took some doing. Did it with a combination of a jack on the sway bar and a bar clamp on the link. Helps keep it much, much flatter in the corners - so a very worthwhile mod.

      SR Performance sway bars

Once installed, they make a big difference in the car's handling. However... Getting the front one on was an expected pain and the end links that come with it will not work so I used the factory ones. The back one was a royal pain as there isn't much space inside the factory lower control arm and getting the nut on each bolt was not fun or painless.

These sway bars made the car feel more balanced going into turns rather then feel like a boat haha. Wish I would of gotten these sooner they are a must have, especially for the price.

Wish front bolts were 1/4" longer

I swapped to a upr front k member and a arms so install time not sure. The only issue was the bolts for the front end links. I had to put them on and tighten with a flat washer and no final bushing. Then loosen up and install last bushing as couldn't get the nut on with all the bushing's in place and not compacted to some degree.

      Amazing

Best bang for you buck. I never notice how bad the body roll was until I changed the sway bars, links and mounts. Huge difference in the way the car handles and pair nicely with the eibach sport line springs.

Amazing what sway bars can do.

This is the single most transformative modification I have made to my Mustang since I got it in 1999. It now feels like a sports car and is so much fun to drive on twisty roads. I just feels all around tighter and even maneuvering in parking lots it just feels better particularly when transitioning from one direction to another it's faster and you can snap the car around it just feels quicker and more nimble in all driving conditions, lane changes on the highway are a great example. In 18 years prior I never really thought of my Mustang in this way and never in the past did I seek out twisty roads. It was more of a fun to drive fast on the highway and long country roads. Now I seek out the turns, it feels smaller, more nimble and like I am in control. It has me so excited to drive fast through the turns I am thinking about doing some autocross to really learn how to drive. I am also wanting more suspension upgrades and now want even more grip and better handling.

      Great product for price.

Good stuff you are getting here but the install for the rear was too hard for a single person. I have aftermarket rear lower control arms(tubes) and it took 3 people on a shop life to just get it lined up. After it’s all said and done it’s worth it!

      Great upgrade from stock

The sway bar kit is a great upgrade from factory. Fitment is awesome but the link kit is best fitted for a lowered vehicle. Go to your local parts store and buy the link kit for $6.99ea and save the SR links for when you do lower it. Keep in mind the nuts for the SR are lock nuts so once they are on, they are on. Get regular nuts w/ washers and you will be set! Handling/cornering greatly improved and so did my launch from 0mph. Happy with my purchase and also the performance results. If you are looking to get a little more out of a daily driver, this is the kit to use. If its a track spec vehicle...spend the money and get the upgraded kit and go from there.

      Quick and simple

They went on easy and it only took me a couple of hours. However the front sway bar link bolts that the bars came with were 2 inches to short and need to reuse the stock links. But all-in-all very good.
