Description
More Power. If you are craving more power from your Shelby GT500, Whipple has the answer. The all new bolt-on supercharger system is the first and only 50-state legal supercharger upgrade available today. While the GT500 pumps out an astounding 760HP, the small supercharger, when coupled with the severely undersized intercooler and inlet system lacks ability to safely make more power on 91/93 octane. Whipple's massive 3.8L Gen 5 twin-screw supercharger is 43% larger in displacement and features the patented dual core, dual pass intercooler for incredible, incomparable cooling capacity to make even more power for better performance.
Upgrade Kit. This Whipple Supercharger Upgrade Kit comes complete and includes the Gen 5 W235RF 3.8L twin-screw supercharger unit, aluminum high-flow intake manifold, 132mm billet throttle body, oversized air-to-water intercooler and wiring harnesses. An OBDII flash programmer with Whipple calibration is also included for easier tuning.
Whipple Technology. The Whipple W235RF 3.8L front entry twin-screw supercharger significantly outperforms the competitions 2.65L roots-type systems. Whipple's inverted design allows for an oversized intercooler core, when compared to other companies smaller intercooler cores, giving the Whipple lower air charge temperatures which allows for more boost and timing to be run on pump gas. Whipple's Gen 5 superchargers feature a new 3x4 rotor combination for increased RPM capacity, large diameter for increased airflow and small leak path, as well as increased helix for optimal sealing. This 3x4 rotor combo significantly increases in airflow under the curve, when compared to other companies less efficient 4x4 roots design. Whipple Superchargers feature a massive oversized intercooled air-bypass system for an industry leading reduction of burst knock and incredible fuel economy.
