Looks great, ride great, but those centercaps...
So these wheels, as many others have pointed out, are fantastic. Had em on for two days, and compliments and "wow"s from everyone that sees em.
Only two negatives are the thickness on the black finish, and the center cap support.
The paint on the wheels is a fairly low hardness and VERY susceptible to scratches and rubs. Personally, I would have taken a gloss powder-coat all day long over the paint. But that's not a finish option from the manufacturer (obviously).
The second issue was the center caps! As other have pointed out, for some reason, most of American Muscle's wheel options (I assume they are from China vendors) have opted for a completely different center cap mounting design (clip vs. spring). This is great, the provided caps fit fine, but it SEVERELY hinders the availability of caps you can use. YOU HAVE to have the clip style caps, and sadly, almost no one makes them, let alone in good styles.
At the very least, I would suggest that American Muscle create a fitment chart that shows what current stock caps fit on which current stock wheels, or at least list which style caps are which on the cap pages. Would make shopping easier and also eliminate the need for customers to ask questions.
Other than the major issue of the caps, this set made the car feel new again, eliminated some road shakes my old 555's were having, and the the style (even though we have limited options and a lot of people are using em) is still pretty nice.
