      Description

This is actually possible with the Anderson Composites Carbon-Fiber Type-OE Hood. Its carbon-fiber construction gives your car a leveled-up style to match its retro-inspired muscle car look. Additionally, this component weighs a lot less when compared to the stock hood, helping improve handling for when you take your Challenger out on track day.

      Functional Hood Heat Vents. The Anderson Composites Carbon-Fiber Type-OE Hood keeps your factory hood’s design, including the hood heat vents. These hood vents help keep engine bay heat down, ensuring your engine works optimally. These vents also feature a mesh screen that can be removed, allowing them to be painted. Please note that due to the component’s reduced weight, hood pins are a must, for safety reasons.

      Rigid and Lightweight Carbon-Fiber Construction. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Hood uses the wet carbon-fiber construction method to ensure maximum resin saturation. A proprietary vacuum infusion process is also used, evenly distributing the resin for a more consistent construction. This construction results in the hood’s shiny “wet” finish. Please note that, while this finish is very durable, using an automotive-grade clear coat with UV-inhibitors can prevent fading more effectively. Additionally, a heat shield is required to extend the life of the hood.

      No-Nonsense Installation. The Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Type-OE Hood is installed reusing the OE hardware. It is advised that the factory hood dampeners, shocks or struts not be reinstalled, as the hood’s lighter weight may result in uncontrolled operation. Rather, a hood prop is suggested. Anderson Composites recommends that a professional install this product.

      A 6-Month Finish Warranty Coverage. The Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Type-OE Hood is covered by a 6-month warranty against any large imperfections on the finish. Please note that this is a handmade product. Thus, small imperfections may be present. Please visit the manufacturer’s website for more details.
