        1 1993 GT - AdamSTL

        DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT

Do not purchase this product. I purchased this for my ‘93 GT. Once installed the car ran good for about 30 minutes. But after several quick test passes down the highway, upon returning, the car would not idle and the throttle body whistled as loud as a cop whistle. For several hours we attempted to correct the issues, but could not. I re-installed the original throttle body and the car ran perfect, with no issues. I called American Muscle immediately and explained the situation (This was 24 hours after receiving the product) and they would not return it. They stated and I quote: This is a common issue with this product. I then called BBK and they attempted several times fo get AM to return it, and they could get AM to return it. I am now out of $300 and a waste of day messing with the car. Do NOT purchase this product!!!

4 1992 LX - Aaronthebaron Installation Time: Afternoon

        Amazing product, issues with idle/running

I have a 1992 Fox with a built 5.0, roller rockers, pistons, cold air intake, smog pump delete, headers and exhaust back... ect. Fun installation and job. Did it myself with minor issues. Would recommend doing spark plugs when you do this too. Had an issue with running at idle and when throttle is applied, it would sometimes die out when it de-accelerated. Taking it to a shop to figure that out. Check engine light came on with it too but regardless it drove well. Opens up the sound, intake, performance, and you can even hear a little whistle of air coming in.

5 1990 GT - AlejandroL Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Easy install

Install went smoothly without any issues. The quality of these parts are superb to anything out there and they're American made so that's a plus. Not sure if it's just my car but at initial startup and idle if was rough, stalling, pegging, surging, until the computer finally adjusted after around 15 minutes. Double checked for leaks at the egr spacer and nothing so overall I'm very pleased with this addition to the car.

5 1993 GT - Erik Installation Time: Afternoon

        WOW

This made the difference in my 5.0. I already had a cold air intake and new BBK headers. Running the stock throttle body really didn’t do much but put this on and I can honestly say is the #1 greatest upgrade I’ve made that I’ve seen the most amount of horsepower from. Wasn’t hard to install, but setting idle was tricky. Awesome!!

        BBK 70 mm throttle body

Amazing throttle response after installing this. The old one was harder to get out than expected but it's all easy from there.

        3 1989 Other - 30Koriginal

        Good additional performance upgrade

The good part: the difference in the way it sounds and performs is night and day over the stock throttle body and egr spacer but, Now the bad part: i could never get it to idle correctly. come to find out when i took the BBK TB off anitfreeze was leaking into the TB and being suck into the intake. I have tried 3 times to try and get the egr spacer to seal up with the throttle body no luck. No problem with the stock unit which is what is on the car now. If i wasnt having a problem with it leaking I would have given it a 5 star. will try again in spring

Will BBK 70 mm throttle body w/EGR spacer be compatible and beneficial with otherwise stock engines*? Any other cost effective improvements? *stock EXCEPT Flowmaster mufflers, K&N filters, 3.55 gears on 87,

With throttle body is bigger the70 or the75 and can I bolt it on a stock 5.0

      • Hey Chris, The 75 is larger given that it is 75mm and the other is only 70mm. So the bore is 5 mm bigger. As for a stock 5.0 the 70mm is better for a stock application, the 75 is more for force inducted motors (i.e. superchargers and turbochargers)
