Increases Overall Performance. Add even more horsepower and torque to the rear wheels of your GT Mustang with a BBK After Cat X-Pipe. A BBK X pipe will greatly improve your pony's exhaust flow to increase overall performance. This BBK x-pipe is designed to be used with BBK's shorty headers or the factory manifolds.

Race Car Growl. This free flowing BBK x-pipe for the 2011-2014 GT Mustang's not only increases power, but it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

Compatible With Stock Cats. The BBK GT X-Pipe bolts up directly behind the factory catalytic converters with no cutting required saving you time and money. By reusing your stock catalytic converters you ensure that Mustang is smog-legal.

Durable BBK Construction. BBK's X-pipes use a free-flowing 2-3/4" diameter CNC mandrel bent aluminized tubing and a merged X crossover to improve flow. It also features OEM style hangers that attach in the stock locations for a perfect fit.

Application. This BBK After Cat X-Pipe is designed to be a direct bolt-on for the 2011-2014 5.0L GT Mustangs with either aftermarket short tube headers or the factory manifolds and a dual catback exhaust installed. Reuse the stock Catalytic Converters.Installation Note. When installing this X-pipe on a BOSS 302 Mustang you will loose the functionality of the factory Side Exhaust pipes.

I have this After Cat X-pipe and love them, very easy to install. My question is I want the BBK headers Item 390011 so will my X-pipe work with the headers and will I need anything else. Thanks


  • With those BBK long tube headers, this after cat x-pipe would not work, it is designed only for the stock manifold or shorty headers. The xpipe to get with those headers would be, BBK off-road x-pipe with long tube headers item 56111.

  • The installation of the BBK After-Cat X-Pipe does not require any welding.

Curious on what the difference between the x-pipe and h-pipe other than the obvious design.


  • H-Pipe is a deeper lower tone that is more old school muscle car and the x-pipe more of a raspy Nascar style sound. It depends on personal preference.

    Great combo with my Hushpowers

    I choose the BBK after cat x-pipe to replace the choked flow of the stock h-pipe, but retain the catalytic converters. The install was straight forward and resulted in a small increase in loudness as well as change in tone that sounds great with my Flowmaster Hushpower axlebacks.     Good Product

    Good prodcut it did make the sound and flow better, but i also had to remove the resonators, cause they where blocking all the flow, after that this product with my cat backs is screaming, good bang for the buck, easy to instal to, i did not recieve the clamps with this x pipe, either they got lost with the package or it dont come with clamps,i had to use some of my own.

    Made my coyote come alive!!!!

    Best bang for the buck. Really complements the Gt 500 axle back. Fit and finish were excellent, 25 minute install on a lift. This BBK x-pipe made my 2014 GT come alive!!! Nice mellow tone when cruising around town. And a throaty sound when on the throttle. No rasp or drone at city or highway speeds. Just perfect exhaust note!

    Met my expectations perfectly

    I had bought this to smooth out the exhaust note with my Roush axle back. I was getting a very annoying crackling/rasp above 3000rpm or so. Contrary to what people say about X pipes adding rasp, this did the opposite. It completely got rid of the crazy rasp and brought the overall volume down a bit as well. It also reduced the popping under decel a bit. Another benefit was though there was only very slight drone at highway speeds before, with the X pipe it is completely gone. Cruising in 6th gear at 2100rpm the car literally sounds stock on the inside. Oh, fitment was perfect. No issues with lining up the pipes or leaking. Couldn't be happier with this! Car is a 2013 GT, Roush axle backs, resonators deleted. Factory cats still in place.

    infamous BBK rattle

    Bought this product under good reviews, however I will never buy anything from BBK again. When I installed it I noticed that the x-pipe wouldn't seal onto the passenger side cat and I couldn't get it to seal to save my life. When under a load at any rpm the x-pipe would make a noise, like there was a bolt in the x-pipe. Come to find out BBk after cat is known for that. In my opinion it would be better to skip this x-pipe and buy a higher end pipe, unless you don't mind the knocking noise.

    BBK X pipe is better the stock mid pipe

    When I installed BBK x pipe I already had the Roush axlebacks. The x pipe definetely smoothened out the sound. I can tell the exhaust flowed more freely. There is no crackle at deceleration. Wot doesn't sound as loud. The sound at idle has gotten more agressive. I notice the take off doesn't have as much torque. My guess the hp/tq power band has changed. I'm thinking about Magna flow catbacks to get a louder throatier sound and get a bit more torque. The BBK after cat x pipe is great cost effective way of removing the restricted mid pipe and the fitting is very good. But it toned down the Roush axleback which wasn't something Im looking for. If you are looking for a cost effective way of improving exhaust flow and not sound the BBK x pipe will fit the bill.

    BBK after cat x pipe

    The x pipe is a much needed improvement over the stock h pipe. As others have noted I had a little trouble with the drivers side but with the suggestion from BBK and pulling the stock pipes a little to the center it fits perfectly and makes my pype bomb axel backs sound amazing. Love this X-Pipe

    BBK X-Pipe

    Was a little reluctant to change out the H for an X as I was unsure that I would like the sound, but I was also not happy with the stepping in sizes that Ford did, so I had no choice. I must say I could not be happier with the sound of the X-Pipe. Install is a bit of a pain to resolve all the leaks, but once done, just WOW! I have my cats hollowed out and no mufflers...and LOVE the way the car sounds now.

    It seems everyone swears by an x pipe...???

    I had a few $100`s set aside for a few parts so I figured I`d see what the fuss was all about with an x pipe. Come to find out, there is no fuss just rasp...rasp for days. I would like to say though that Installation was simple. It literally bolts right up. The exhaust note with Roush AB`s at WOT is respectable; gives the car a decent racey/raspy growl. But it really does tone down the Roush AB`s, which in my opinion is contradicting. You don`t install the Roushes only to make it quieter. The car idles smoother but again quieter. Hp gains won`t be felt till mid-high rpm range. Unless you`re spending much of your time there, you won`t truly appreciate the shift in power. Those that daily drive or are an occasional street light racer will have much to desire in terms of low end power. I figured I`d give myself more time to adjust to the x pipe but truth be told, I find myself missing the h pipe and the true loudness of the Roush AB`s!

    Nice product..

    Wanted to change up my exhaust note a little and decided to try an X pipe. Went with the BBK because the price fit my budget. I must say these bolted right up with no issues whatsoever. Took me longer to jack the car up than to install the X. I would recommend this product to anyone!

    Great sound

    The installation was easy and the price is great i went with these because they were the best for their price and the fitment is great compared to the pypes xpipe which is 3in tubing this one fita like a glove and the sound is great changes the tone of how my car sounds!

    BBK aftercat x pipe

    I just installed this pipe yesterday and I am very happy with the results. My car had Roush AB exhaust when I bought it and I wasn't crazy about the rasp at WOT. With this x pipe, the idle is a lower rumble, and WOT sounds amazing. I am very impressed with how this pipe knocked out the drone as well. Sounds like a stock car from inside when cruising, which is what I want for an every day driver. Also feels like it pulls harder at low RPM. Very happy with sound, install, and performance with this pipe.

    Perfect Fit

    Perfect fit, my problem is with Ford. They install the clamps the hold the H Pipe downward. It was just a pain. I am running the Outlaw Series Axle back, which is already loud. Did not really notice a difference with the sound.

    Not impressed with the way the fit !!

    I bought this x-pipe hoping it would seal with the BBK cat delete pipes since i could never get the delete pipes to seal to factory h-pipe. I had no luck with that idea at all,it actually leaks worse. I have had the clamps on and off so many times trying to get them to seal that I finally broke one. BBK truly needs to redesign these products. It's a great idea if you could just get them to seal. Thinking about welding connections but really hate to have to do that.

    BBK X pipe

    The finish looks great, welds look great, installation was very easy with an extra set of hands. The only problem we had was a very small leak on the driver side ball connection that was due to being damaged in shipping. Nothing on BBK for this, just had to get it round again and it sealed up great. Definitely a noticeable hp gain. The sound change is noticeable and better in both my wife's and my opinion. We have the Rousch axle back exhaust and the x pipe actually made the idle and cruising quieter, slightly but noticeably less drone. Still plenty loud on cold start and wide open throttle but smoothed out the exhaust pulses. Love it and would buy again.

    Disappointed at first...

    I have Borla ATAK axle backs and wanted the car a big louder (but not loud enough to be thrown out by my HOA) so everyone said go X-Pipe. I got this because I didnt want anything welded over the tranny. After it was done it made the car a bit deeper sounding but stoped a lot of the crackle and hiss that my Atak's used to have and made them quieter. Kinda bummed. So then I cut off my resonators. Wow...that woke them right up! So great set up, once the resonators are out. It did develop a very slight drone around 3100rpm.

    Great addition to axle-backs

    This X-Pipe is a great addition to my Flowmaster Hushpowers. It really smoothed out the tone compared to the stock H-Pipe. Probably a little quieter at low RPM's but a great sound when you open it up!

    Great fit!

    I was surprised at how easily this x pipe bolted into the stock location. There was no moving the cats around, loosening up other parts, it just slid right in. The sound with the x pipe is far better than the stock h pipe. It gives more volume and a different pitch without having to dump the cats. Would recommend!
