      Hey, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm going to be taking a closer look at BBK's long tube headers, available in either ceramic or chrome for all 2011 and newer Mustang GTs. Simply put, long tube headers are designed to completely replace your restrictive factory manifolds, which can really choke out the flow of exhaust. Long tube headers paired with an aftermarket Mid Pipe and exhaust will make for a very free-flowing setup that should give you a nice bump in both power and sound. As far as price is concerned, you'll find these long tubes from BBK to be right in the middle of the road. Now as far as construction is concerned, you'll see some slight similarities with the BBK and the Pype's long tube headers. They both share Mandrel-bent long straight runners, which is going to be great for top-end power, however the BBK features a 1-and-3/4 inch Mandrel-bent tubing, whereas the Pype's offer a 1-and-5/8ths inch Mandrel bent tubing, so you are getting larger diameter tubing with the BBK and the option to go with the ceramic coating as well. That ceramic coating is going to offer a couple of different benefits, first of which is performance. Ceramic dissipates heat a lot better than a raw stainless or chrome-plated header, so it's going to have a slight edge performance-wise, and should help keep under-the-hood temps down as well. Now the chrome option will be less expensive, and it won't dissipate heat quite as well as a ceramic coating, but one thing's for sure, that chrome finish is really going to pop under the hood. In addition to the different finish options available with the BBK headers, you'll also enjoy a perfect fit, thanks to the laser-cut flanges and quality welds that will help prevent any premature failure down the road. Installing any set of long tube headers can be a little intense, so if you don't think you have the mechanical skills to get the job done, then I would leave this one up to the professionals. However, if you are going to tackle the job, just leave yourself a full day, just to be safe. Keep in mind, whenever you run a set of long tubes like these BBKs, you will need to address your Mid Pipe. In this case, you'll need to run a flanged and shorty Mid Pipe to get everything bolted up properly. Now BBK recommends their shorty X-Pipe just for best fit and performance gains. So if you're looking for a quality set of long tubes with a number of different benefits and the option of a chrome or ceramic finish, you might want to check out these long tubes from BBK for your coyote Mustang.

      More Horsepower and Torque. Improve the performance of your 5.0L Coyote Engine with a set of BBK Long Tube Headers. These BBK Ceramic Coated Headers will greatly improve your mustangs exhaust flow over the restrictive stock manifolds and increase your Pony's horsepower and torque. Significant increases in rear wheel horsepower have been seen when installed with a matching BBK Shorty X pipe or Midpipe Adapter.

      Silver Ceramic Coating. These Long Tube Headers are completed in BBK's Polished Silver Ceramic Coating that not only looks great, but reduce under hood temperatures to help increase horsepower and extend the life of the headers. Ceramic Coated headers will long out last both chrome plated and polished headers.

      Quality Construction.
      BBK Long Tube Exhaust headers are manufactured from 1-3/4" CNC mandrel bent tubing for unrestricted airflow. And feature one piece laser cut 3/8" header flanges for added strength, leak-free performance and OEM fit. These headers are then completed in a polished ceramic finish for good looks and to lower under hood temperatures.

      Recommended Upgrade.
      To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for proper operation.

      Application. These BBK 1-3/4" Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers are specifically designed to fit the 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equipped with the Coyote 4 valve 5.0L V8 engine.

        Ceramic headers

        Changed from chrome Lt headers to ceramic Lt header and dropped my under hood temp by 15 degrees and now temp drop to same as outside temp with in a half a block of driving. They are great from BBK complete exhaust. I them on my 2014 GT premium and sounds great.

        THIS PRODUCT perfect fit.. install easy it take me two day BUT mush of the time looking for a tool. i think 5 hours if u have everything and using a lift,,, i was using jack stand only..n shipping is fast.

        Click the purchase button now. Had a professional install them. Xpipe muffler delete = insane. Can feel the difference without the tune but taking to get dyno tune.

        Nice fit!

        Headers fit nice on the car. The passenger side was harder than the drivers side. I installed these in my garage on jack stands.... a lift would have made it easier but it can be done. I felt the ceramic coating was thin in some spots and there was some heavy weld buildup in the ports that I cleaned up with a die grinder....not sure if it will make a difference in performance but I felt it couldn't hurt. These headers could use some quality control as far as finish goes but they did fit nice and they are a bit cheaper than some of the others on the market.

        You won't be disappointed

        Pair these longtubes with an offroad x pipe and it will scream. If you want a loud car then these are perfect. At around 4k rpm you have to start covering your ears if you're standing right next to it because it's that loud. Not disappointed.

        5 2017 GT - dRauG Installation Time: Weekend

        Just installed these..

        OK. First of all I'm 65. I've worked on cars since I was 14. I did this install myself on jack stands. Took me the better of 5 days working only 2-3 hours a day on them. Could've been done on a weekend if I had the time. I watched a few videos of the install but the instructions on the BBK website were the best. Milwaukee cordless right angle impact wrench will save you hours of work. I had all the tools already but you do need a torx bit and torx socket. They sound great! I'm running a magnaflow street catback. Nice in town but aggressive on demand. Small hands are helpful. Enjoy my friends!

        5 2016 GT - Khertz Installation Time: Full Day

        Love them, but huge P.I.T.A. to install.

        Fitment is great, sound is great, can't really rate power yet, as it was raining when I finished installing. You are going to need to disconnect the steering, remove the passenger side motor mount cradle, remove the starter, and possible loosen the actual passenger side motor mount itself (Only if you reuse stock header studs). You actually dont have to remove your catback, but loosening the mounts would be helpful. Having a buddy to help is highly recommended.

      I have been doing some research on the BBK Long tubes and I'm trying to figure out if these will hang below the frame rails? Some say yes and some say no. I'm wondering if they do - what is involved in tucking these back up?

      I am debating on getting these and a catted mid pipe, but am worried about NJ state inspection. Will it pass with this?

      • We do apologize but each state will have their own inspection rules. Generally, the rule of thumb is if it has cats you are okay with emissions. However, you will need to check with your local inspections center to see if these will pass your state's laws.

      I have a ford mid pipe will the headers fit my 2014 5.0gt my pipe is connected with a sealing exhaust clamp they do not use the bolt system what will I need to make these work

      • BBK long tubes require a BBK shorty mid-pipe. You cannot use your Ford Performance x-pipe.

      I got this bbk lt headers with off road x pipe, will this headers bolt up directly to the factory exhaust? The reason im asking is that im getting Solo street race XV catback exhaust and those have the same factory bolt up connection

      I have a 2014 GT with flowmaster outlaw catback, with these long tubes, would I just need the Bbk catted xpipe in order to hook up with my flowmaster set up?

      • OEM mid-pipes will not connect to long tube headers. Itsrecommended to get the same brand mid pipe as the long tube headers. Modifications to the cat-back may be needed to allow for proper fitment of an aftermarket mid-pipe.
