Required For 5.0 coyote Swap. This BBK Shorty Catted X-Pipe was specifically designed just for the 5.0L coyote engine swap with BBK's 1634 or 16340 Series full length headers.

Race Car Growl. This free flowing BBK x-pipe for the coyote engine swap will not only increase power, but it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

Durable BBK Construction. Constructed from 3" diameter CNC mandrel bent aluminized tubing, this BBK off-road Mid Pipe features a merged X crossover design to improve exhaust flow. Additional features include two High flow catalytic converters to provide a significant increase in horsepower.

Application. This BBK Shorty Catted X-Pipe is specifically designed to be used when installing BBK long tube headers on a 1979 to 2004 Ford Mustang with the 4 valve coyote 5.0L engine swap.

Is the item’s picture accurate? Because your competitors’ websites and the BBK website all show the BBK 1786 Coyote Swap Catted X-Pipe as having the converters farther back and without the secondary/downstream O2 sensor bungs. I’m looking for one with the sensor bungs so that my Coyote swap will be emissions-compliant.

Does the Coyote Swap Catted X pipe meet emissions requirements.

      • This BBK Coyote 5.0L Swap Catted X-Pipe will be legal in most emission controlled states however, you should consult with your states Department of Motor Vehicle or local inspection station to ensure this is legal in your state/county.

Would this fit with the MAC 1-5/8 in. Ceramic Long Tube Headers and the MAC Boom Tube Cat-Back Exhaust??

      • We would recommend going with a MAC mid pipe for better fitment. However, you may be able to use this BBK one with your set up but due to the different brands, you may have to do some modifications in order to get everything installed properly.

You are mistaken KevinD92, the BBK coyote swap long tube headers do in fact have a legitimate CARB number as listed on your website. So what do you do to make the CAT setup on a fox body CARB legal?

      • Unfortunately, the headers and x-pipe are not CARB legal. You will have to find something equivalent to factory exhaust in order to have it legal.
