- How to Install Wheels on Your 1979-2013 Mustang
Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out our AMR wheels fitting all 94-04 Mustangs, available in your choice of either gloss black, silver, or charcoal. The modern styling of this concave multi spoke wheel has quickly become a favorite, and it’s a nice change of pace for the SN95 owner out there who may be looking to take a break from the standard 5 spoke wheel design, traditionally found with a Cobra or Bullitt style wheel. These lightweight aluminum AMR wheels are offered in both an 18 and 19” diameter, and in your choice of either 8, 8 ½, and 9” width. Of course the different width options leaves you with a choice, you can go with the same width wheel on all 4 corners, giving you the standard fitment, and allowing you to properly rotate your tires in the future. Or on the other hand, you can go with a tried and true muscle car look, and opt for a staggered fitment, meaning you have the wider wheels in the rear, it’s totally up to you. To give you a better idea of how these wheels might look on your own ride, we’ve outfitted some of the cars here in the shop with the AMR’s, starting with the 98 GT behind me, which is equipped with the 18” version in charcoal. Our 2000 V6 back on the lift is sporting the 18” AMR’s in silver, while finally our 2000 GT on the Dynojet is rocking the 18” in gloss black. You can purchase these wheels by themselves if you’d like, however the smart move would be to take advantage of one of our pre built tire and wheel combinations, here we pair your new AMR’s up with some of the top tires on the market today, in sizes that are guaranteed to fit your Mustang without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. On top of that we then mount, balance, and then ship them to your door, absolutely free. Finally, all our AmericanMuscle wheels are backed by a lifetime structural warranty, and a 1 year warranty on all finishes. Installing any new set of wheels and tires is something any backyard mechanic should be able to tackle with ease. You’ll first want to crack the lugs loose and then jack the car up. Once the car is in the air, simply swap out all 4 wheels and tires and that’s it. Getting all this done shouldn’t take you any more than an hour. So if your SN95 needs some new shoes and you’re ready to introduce a little drift inspired styling, then be sure to check out these AMR wheels available right here at AmericanMuscle.com

What is TPMS? The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS for short) is a factory installed safety feature on all 2007 and newer Ford Mustangs that alerts you when your tire pressure drops to an unsafe limit.
How do I keep my TPMS feature? Aftermarket wheels do not come with TPMS sensors. However, if you select 'Add TPMS Sensor Kit' and your specific year range from the options listed above, we'll install the TPMS Sensors in your new wheels!

Black and blue
These wheels are an excellent upgrade! I went with the staggered 18x9/10 black wheels with blue 6-spline lugs to go with my blue Mach 1. The traction I get is amazing and the wheels compliment the car well. This is perfect for upgrading both grip and aesthetics. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.Helpful (14)

I paired these with BF goodrich sport comp 255 40 18s and they stick to the ground really well. While the tire is slightly too big for the wheel it doesnt effect performance at all. They also look fantastic on my 03 gt.Helpful (13)

Wheels look better than I expected. Shipping was delayed due to a snow storm, packaging took quite a bit of damage, but wheels and tires weren't. Price is really good, can't beat free shipping, balancing, and fill with N2.Helpful (11)
I'm confused so the 18/10 go in the front? And the 18/9 in the rear? You would think it would be the other way around?
Hello! Thank you for bringing this to our attention! That is definitely a typo, the 18x10's are meant for the REAR and the 18x9's are meant for the front! I will pass this typo over to the correct people to get it fixed on our website! Thanks.
will these fit a 89 lx foxbody with a 5 lug conversion?
As long as you have a 5-lug conversion on your 1989 Mustang LX Foxbody, the Staggered AMR Black Wheel & Mickey Thompson Tire Kit - 18x8/9 (94-04 All) will fit as the thread count will match with these wheels.
So if I get this product it says that u do free mounting and balancing where do I go to get them mounted?
If you purchase this kit, the wheels and tires will be mounted and balanced in our warehouse prior to shipment, so you would receive them ready to install onto your Mustang!
Would these clear a brembo big brake kit?
what is the offset?
Offset of the 18x9 is +30mm. The 18x10 is +24mm.
The 18x8/9 Staggered AMR Wheel and Sumitomo Tire Kit will allow you to use a 1 inch spacer in the rear to get that much more aggressive staggered look.
We have only confirmed fitment with the 94-98 Cobras, 95 Cobra R's, 94-98 GT's, and the 94-98 V6 models at this point in time.
It is the incorrect offset and backspacing for those wheels 2016 Mustang. You can find wheels for your Ecoboost here: https://www.americanmuscle.com/2015-mustang-wheels.html The skinniest we have for your application would be 18x9"
This AMR Wheel fits front or rear of all 1994 to 2004 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and SVT Cobra models. However we do have an 18x9 inch AMR black wheel that would fit your ecoboost mustang, I have attached a link below. https://www.americanmuscle.com/black-amr-18x9-1517.html
The Staggered AMR Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit - 18x8/9 should work just fine with your setup. As long as the car is not lowered more than 2" all the way around you will not experience any rubbing. We have not had any customers contact us about problems with inspection after swapping out their wheels and tires, I do not see where this kit would cause an issue with inspection.
This AMR Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit will work perfectly on any 1999-2004 Mustang GT or V6. The only time fitment would be an issue is with a custom big brake kit, lowering your car more than 2", or if the wheels were designated for either the front or rear of the car. Which the AMR Black Wheels in 18x8 are designated to fit the front or back just fine and will give your car a great custom look!
That should work fine.
Simple installation for anyone.
