Improves Traction And Handling. Replace your stock upper control arm with a BMR Suspension adjustable rear upper control arm for improved traction, quicker launches, and to eliminate "wheel hop" ensuring you're getting all your ponys to the pavement.

On Car Adjustable. The BMR Suspension S197 Mustang Upper Control Arm is on-car double adjustable allowing you to dial in your suspensions settings "on-the-fly" whether you're at home or at the track.

Polyurethane Bushings. This BMR Adjustable Upper Control Arm uses greaseable spiral fluted polyurethane bushings resulting in great traction during straight-line acceleration and predictable grip during hard cornering.

Tubular Construction. Made in the USA from TIG welded 1-5/8" diameter heavy wall .120 DOM steel tubing for superior strength and rigidity, this BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm is completed in a durable black hammer-tone powdercoat finish for great looks and long life.

Recommended Upgrade. It is highly recommend to upgrade your stock upper control arm mounting bracket to a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount when installing a BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm on a S197 Mustang. Failure to do so may result in a loud clunking noise without the BMR Upper Control Arm Mount installed.

Application. The BMR Suspension Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm with Polyurethane Bushings is designed for all 2011 to 2014 Mustangs including the V6, GT, Bullitt, BOSS, and Shelby GT500 models.

I don't see anyone talking about replacing the stock axle bushing that this connects to. Wouldn't the stock bushing get trashed really fast since its now the weakest link?

        • This wouldn't really trash your stock axle bushing when you install this part but you can always upgrade your axle bushing when this is installed so everything is new!

My car is lowered 1.5" with BMR Coils and BMR fixed lower arms, and a OEM upper control arm. I have a one pc aluminum driveshaft. Is this adjustable upper of any benefit to me from the adjustment standpoint?

        • The BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm will allow you to adjust the orientation of your rear axle, to correct pinion angle, which can help extend u joint life span, decrease driveline vibrations, and provide a minor traction increase.

            BMR UPPER CONTROL ARM

Very nice piece, I had to buy this after I installed a one piece drive shaft. I drag race my car and the stock drive shaft exploded during a launch. Turns out the stock suspension with the one piece driveshaft had a pinon angle of -6 deg. Needless to say the driveshaft vibrated violently at high speeds(over 65mph) and the adjustability of this control arm allowed me to set the pinon angle to -2 deg. Now the driveshaft doesn't vibrate and the 60ft times of the car have dropped by about half a tenth of a second on average. Only down side is I daily drive my mustang and the control arm does make a lot of clunking noise over bumps and at stop and go situations. Otherwise I'm very happy with this product.

            Good control arm

Pair it with the BMR aluminum lower control arms and you have yourself a drag/street ready machine , my car feels better when taking turns , it really launches hard after second gear... then again I do have the swar bar installed as well and ford performance rear and front sway bars plus Panhard bar and panhard bar support brace , you can never go wrong with suspension mods on a mustang it is a must get.

            BMR Upper Control Arm

2014 GT convertable, the rubber bushings on my Upper and lower control arms wore out. Ordered the Upper Control arm mounting bracket, adjustable Upper Control arm and none adjustable lower control arms from American Muscle. I received the BMR parts in less then 48 hours and upon opening the boxes I was impressed with the quality of the parts. Install took about three hours along with another hour to set the correct pinion angle. Big difference in the way the car feels and responds, great products.

            Not as I expected

I already have bmr lower control arms on my 2014. This did not make a huge difference in traction, as I still spin 2nd if the tires aren’t warm (stock track pack). But there is no hopping, even in rain. Gear whine noticed mostly in 5th when on the highway. I actually had to install this uca and mount twice because it was creaking the first time. Not sure why, just be sure to toque and lubricate.

            Great but noisey

Seems to give better off the line traction and in aggressive cornering the rear end is a bit nicer to control however when going over a jarring bump there is a loud bang from it but it doesn't happen very often, so worth it

Time Needed to Install NVH Alert

Dropping your gas tank is required of the 2010 GT S197. Good heads up to anyone thinking this is a quick job! Don't forget to torque it to spec or you'll deal with NHV for weeks because your tool mechanic forgot to tighten it NVH manageable with the back seat returned in to sound dampen but still noticeable even after spec torque. Other than that... the hookup is seemingly nicely improved with less axle lag than the stock rubber bushings

            solid piece, tough install

This piece feels very well built, a huge improvement over stock. Replaced the mount with the bmr unit as well. My car is lowered so this gave me the ability to adjust the pinion angle to prevent unnecessary wear. As for the install, it's a pain. You better have a bad*** impact gun or good luck getting the bolt under the rear seat off. One that's out, put all 4 tires on blocks or ramps. Use a jack to lift the body and unload the suspension to give you more room to work above the rear end and make adjustments. Then load the suspension back up and check pinion angle. Repeat.

            New upper

Great quality. Geting the bolt under the rear seat was hard had to use a breaker bar to tighten drive around came back and had to tighten again. Did lowers before still had tire hop but after doing upper no more tire hop works great. It is noisier then stock over bumps but well worth it for the gained traction and control.

            Upper control arm and mount

Pairing this with the bar mount. And lower control has almost completely taken away all wheel hop. At first I had just replaced the bottom control arms. And hop was better but still there. After adding upper and mount. It's gone. And wheels grab In the end combining both did what I wanted them to do. A on build quality

            So quiet!

I ordered this BMR adjustable rear upper control arm to replace a competitor's arm which had a three piece front mount design. The the piece design allowed some unwanted movement and transferred noise into the cabin of the car. The BMR adjustable rear upper control arm eliminated the noise all together and is so smooth. No question, I would not hesitate to purchase this unit.

            Very Noticeable Improvement

This upper control arm along with the BMR bracket is definitely worth the investment. I had paired this with the rear lower control arms as a prelude to a supercharger. The combo really makes the back end hook, no more wheel hop. Installation is a little cumbersome on jack stands but you can do it by yourself.

Replaced a whiteline upper with a bmr, mainly because of the ease of adjusting the pinion angle. Product looked great and functions perfectly.
