      Product Information

Features, Description, Reviews, Q&A, Specs & Installation

      • Better Traction, Quicker Launches, Less Wheel Hop
      • Non-Adjustable Design
      • Durable 1-5/8" Heavy Wall DOM Tubing
      • Black Hammer-Tone Powder Coat Finish
      • Spiral-Fluted Grease-Able Polyurethane Bushings
      • Fits All 2011-2014 Mustangs

Improves Traction And Handling. Replace your stock upper control arm with a BMR Suspension rear upper control arm for improved traction, quicker launches, and to eliminate "wheel hop" ensuring you're getting all your ponys to the pavement.

Polyurethane Bushings. This BMR Upper Control Arm uses greaseable spiral fluted polyurethane bushings resulting in great traction during straight-line acceleration and predictable grip during hard cornering.

Tubular Construction. Made in the USA from TIG welded 1-5/8" diameter heavy wall .120 DOM steel tubing for superior strength and rigidity, this BMR Rear Upper Control Arm is completed in a durable black hammer-tone powdercoat finish for great looks and long lasting corrosion resistance.

Recommended Upgrade. It is highly recommend to upgrade your stock upper control arm mounting bracket to a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount when installing a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm on a S197 Mustang. Failure to do so may result in a loud clunking noise without the BMR Upper Control Arm Mount installed.

Application. The BMR Suspension Non-Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm with Polyurethane Bushings is designed for all 2011 to 2014 Mustangs including the V6, GT, BOSS, and Shelby GT500 models.

        Great mod

Between the lower control arms and now the upper, I have no more wheel hop. I will say based on taking everything apart I would highly recommend an air impact drill for the upper control replacement. I would also recommend replacing the mounting bracket, the new one installed is way sturdier than stock. Don’t let the bracket be the weak link. This is a great mod I would recommend to anyone. *all in all I did—upper and lower control arms and the mounting bracket.

works but there is a but

Installed BMR control arms (upper and lower) and panhard bar. Was trying to get rid of clucking on a 2012 V6 that had 110K miles on it. The clunking was reduced sufficiently but not totally, and road noise at 75-80mph became quite a lot worse. Handling wise, feels like it brought it back to "like new" state.

        5 2013 V6 - CharlieC Installation Time: Afternoon

        Good product

The control arm is defiantly a good buy. Relatively cheap and good quality. Defiantly take this one over any of the others, I didn't get the adjustable because I daily drive my car and didn't see a need for it. Never had an issue with it. It did take some time to wear in (about a week). Was kinda a pain in the but to install with the bracket, primarily the one bolt on top. Overall very good

        3 2013 GT - Jck10 Installation Time: Afternoon

        good product except....

all in all this upper control arm was a good for the price and it definitely helped stiffen up the rear end but after only driving the car about 15 miles i looked under the car for a completely different reason and noticed that the grease fitting had already broken off. an easily fixable problem so all in all a good part and no other problems besides that.

        waste of money

really didn't reduce wheel hop or help my traction at all. just a waste of money. same goes for the lower control arms. i would go with rtr if you're looking for control arms.

      4 Top Rated Questions

Why would this control arm cause a "clunking noise" as described in product details? Does it happen to all installations retaining the factory mount? If the BMR differential bushing kit was also purchased and installed, would that clunking be avoided? Thanks.

      • The BMR Non-Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm has been designed to work conjunction with the BMR control arm mount. not using this can cause a clunking due to an issues with proper alignment. The BMR bushing kit will not alleviate this issue.

Dose this product come greased or will I need to grease it before I install it? Also how often should it be regreased

      • This BMR Non-Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm should be greased prior to installation. Depending on the use of the vehicle, the greasing interval will change, so it would be best to re-grease after extensive or extreme use.
