Justin Dugan: Hey guys! Justin with americanmuscle.com, reviewing the Borla Stinger S-Type Axle-Back Exhaust System for your 2015 and up Fastback GT, available of your choice of either a polished or black tip. So right off the bat, I would categorize the S-Type Axle-Back from Borla for someone out there who was looking for the Borla name, wants loud, but doesn't want any rasp. Now with that in mind, if you do plan on going X-pipe down the road, if you do plan on adding some long tubes eventually to your setup, this might be one of my top three suggestions here for mufflers, because it's not going to get out of hand. Yes, it's going to be loud, but it's not going to make your ears bleed, say, an attack series or even the Corsa Extreme with long tubes and an X-pipe. Either way, guys, figure the S-type with the factory resonator still in place is an easy three out of five, maybe even a four out of five on my one to five, or one to wake the neighbors scale. It is a little bit loud, of course, but again, that is with the factory resonator still in place. Replace that with an extra H-pipe, even some long tubes down the road, and expect that number to creep up.Getting down to some of the fine details here with the Borla. Again, a premium name, so expect a quality build. 304 grade stainless steel throughout, including the 2.5 inch mandrel bent tubing here, the Stinger S-Type mufflers themselves, all exiting out the rather large four-inch tips here, embossed with the Borla logo. The chrome option shown here on the table's going to cost you a little bit less. There is a black chrome option that will set you back an extra 50 bucks.Moving on to the install. Again, not too bad here guys, an easy two out of three wrenches on my difficulty meter when it does come to axle-back installs. If you didn't know by now, pretty much all axle-backs are going to be a cut and clamp design, but don't worry. Borla includes everything you needed to know about where to cut. They supply with some good directions. You supply the cutting tool, the eye protection, and the beer. Now with that said, you should be making noise in the garage or driveway in about an hour or two from start to finish. Alright guys, well, if you haven't been able to tell by now, I'm obviously a big fan of the Stinger S-Type mufflers here from Borla. Now again, very aggressive tone. It's going to be deep. It's not going to be raspy. It's going to be whisper quiet while cruising, and I think that's a big thing to stress. Obviously the build's on point. The only thing to really nit pick is the price, but as always you get what you pay for. Now guys, I'm just one person. If you want to hear what other GT owners are saying about pounding the pavement with this exhaust, definitely read up on some of those customer reviews to hear what they think about the S-Type.I'm Justin. Thanks for watching, and for all things Mustang, keep her right here at americanmuscle.com.
