Jake: Jake here for American Muscle, and today, I'm taking a look at these LED Front and Rear Side Markers with Smoked Lenses, for 2015 and newer Challengers, excluding the Wide Body models. If you're looking to upgrade the lighting on your Challenger, or even if you just want to go for a bit more of that stealthy, sleek appearance, these LED Side Marker Lights are gonna be the perfect upgrade. They combine good looks, solid construction, and improved visibility with an easy installation, and an affordable price tag. So you really can't go wrong with a set of these. Now, there are a few things to touch on here, but let's start with the exterior, specifically that lens. Now, of course, as the name implies, these are finished with this Smoked Polycarbonate Lens. Not only is the lens strong enough to handle impacts out in the environment, but it's also gonna bring that sleek, almost European type of style to your car.Now, these are a great option for any car, but especially if you're going for that blacked outlook, or if you've got a darker paint color because these are gonna complement that style perfectly. So, unlike standard amber or red lenses on your stock marker lights, these are gonna make for a much sleeker, much cleaner look. And when the lights are off, you're not even gonna see what's behind there. You just see this nice smoked lens. Now, of course, the whole thing is weather sealed to prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture, and they have this ABS plastic housing in the back for durability. It's a pretty nice setup actually. But the big story here is, of course, those LED Lights. Now, these come with LED Strips inside to give you a sharp, clean line of light all the way across, so there's no single point of light like there would be with a factory incandescent bulb like right in the middle here. So this entire thing gets lit up.Since these are LEDs, they're gonna have a much longer lifespan than your factory incandescent bulbs, and they're gonna be much brighter. So, even with this dark smoked lens, these are gonna be very visible, and it's gonna make a big impact in your overall visibility. There is no way to miss them. Now, like I mentioned earlier, this is an affordable mod, coming in at around $175. This is a great fit for any budget. They are an excellent, simple thing that you can do that's gonna create a good visual impact in addition to an improvement in overall visibility. In regards to install, these are gonna get a one out of three on our difficulty meter. Now they are 100% plug and play, like I mentioned earlier, so there's no wiring or cutting involved at all, and it should only take you about 30 minutes to get them installed. And to show you that process, let's head over to the install bay right now.Male: Tools used for this install: 1/4 drive ratchet, 10-millimeter socket, and a clip removal tool. Hey guys, I'm gonna show you how to install our front and rear side marker lights here on our 2016 Challenger. So let's get started. So, first thing we're gonna do is I'm gonna take my push clip removal tool here. We're gonna remove these four push clips right here. So I'm gonna get in here, just pop them out, and put this one out down there. So, now we got our push clips removed, just going to pull back here on our inner wheel panel here...our wheel liner I should say. And inside here there is a little push clip that you're going to just push, which is gonna let this and release it. I'm gonna get my hand in there. You might not be able to see it, but I'm just gonna reach in, pop it like that, wiggle it out, pull it out like that. And as you see, we have a little electrical connector here. Just pull up on that. Push down on the clip. And that's the uninstall.So, now we're gonna install our front marker light. What we're gonna do first, is plug our electric connector in, push our red top clip in there, and then just sit this back into place here. Like that. Now we'll install our liner. Now we're gonna take our push clips, reinstall these back into our fender here. Hold on. Now that we have those all installed, you're gonna wanna repeat this whole install procedure on the opposite side. So now let get back in the vehicle here, we're gonna remove this marker light. We're gonna remove the push clips inside the wheel liner here. I'm just gonna take my clip removal tool, get in here, and pop these off. So, now we have our push clips removed. We have a 10-millimeter that's right here. I'm gonna take a 10-millimeter socket on a 1/4-inch drive ratchet, and remove this bolt. Once I get that out, it's gonna allow us to move back our wheel liner. I'm just gonna push it out of the way. That's gonna allow me to get my hand up in here. And inside here there's a little clip I gotta push in this. That'll pop this right out.So now, I'm just gonna push the liner out of the way. Reach up in here with my hand. Push into this little clip right here, which will pop a marker light out like that, same deal as the front. Give a little electrical connector right there. I'm gonna pop that, push on it, pop it off. And now you're gonna wanna repeat this whole uninstall procedure of the front and rear on the opposite side. So, now we're going to install our new marker light. First thing we're going to do is connect our electrical connector here.Push that, you heard it. Push into place. Push down on our red tab like that, and stick this in place like that. Now we'll install our wheel liner. So, now first thing we're gonna do to reinstall, we're going to put our 10-millimeter bolt back in. I'm gonna run it in by hand as much as I can. I'll take my 10-millimeter socket to my 1/4-inch drive ratchet here, run it in the rest of the way. And then finally, we're gonna put our push clips back into place here. And now you're gonna wanna repeat this install procedure on the opposite side.That wraps up this review on install of our LED Side Marker Lights, Front and Rear Smoke for '15 and newer Challengers, excluding Wide Body.
