Popular Tire Setups for this Wheel
Hey everyone Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a look at a classic Mustang wheel design and by far our most popular wheel here at AmericanMuscle, I’m referring to these Bullitt wheels for all 99-04 Mustangs. Bullitt wheels have long been the favorite of many Mustang owners everywhere, from their classic 60s muscle car styling, in addition to the factory built Ford Bullitt Mustang in 01, then again in 08 and 09, it’s easy to see why these wheels are so popular on Mustangs of all ages. Our Bullitt wheels are available in 17” 18” and 19” diameters, and your choice of either gloss black, anthracite silver, matte black, or a chrome finish. The wheels are also available in either staggered or non staggered fitment, now a staggered fitment means that your rear wheels and tires are going to be slightly wider than your fronts, giving you that classic muscle car appearance, and that’s exactly what we’ve done on our 2000 V6 behind me. We have our gloss black 17x9’s on the front, and our gloss black 17x10 ½ ‘s on the rear, giving us that really aggressive stance. Now this will also help your traction as well, thanks to the fact that you get to run a big beefy tire out back to help you get that power down to the ground. The wheels are also available with a very cool deep dish option, now deep dish refers to the lip around the wheel itself, as you can see the face of the wheel is set further back into the rim, giving you that really nice lip that’s sure to get you noticed. If you want to check out what some of the other finishes might look like on your ride, then you’ll want to check out our 98 GT back there on the lift that’s sporting the chrome finish, or our 2000 GT back there on our dyno jet, sporting the anthracite silver look. Now whatever finish you decide to go with, rest assured that we have your back, with a 1 year warranty on our finishes, and a lifetime structural warranty on all wheels. Of course you can purchase these wheels individually if you like, however the smart move would be to take advantage of one of our pre built tire and wheel combinations. This pairs your new Bullitt wheels up with some of the top performing tires on the market today, in sizes that are guaranteed to fit your ride without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. You also get to take advantage of our free mounting and balancing, optional nitrogen fill, and as always free shipping and handling. Installing a new set of wheels is something any backyard mechanic should be able to tackle, all you need to do is simply crack your lugs loose first, then jack up the car and swap the wheels, start to finish should take you about an hour using standard hand tools and a floor jack. So if you want to evoke that classic muscle car styling on your modern day ride, then these Bullitt wheels from AmericanMuscle will give you an aggressive look that’s sure to never go out of style.

Technical Note. Due to the limited space in the rear wheel wells of the 1994-2004 Mustangs, we highly recommend you flip or completely remove the rear quad shock for proper fitment. Slight rubbing may occur on the inside of the wheel and tire without this modification.
Fitment: 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998
Mounting & Balancing: AmericanMuscle offers professional mounting and balancing on all wheels and tires when purchased together on the same order. This will allow you to swap out your old wheels for your new set when they arrive.
What is TPMS? The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS for short) is a factory installed safety feature on all 2007 and newer Ford Mustangs that alerts you when your tire pressure drops to an unsafe limit.
How do I keep my TPMS feature? Aftermarket wheels do not come with TPMS sensors. However, if you select 'Add TPMS Sensor Kit' and your specific year range from the options listed above, we'll install the TPMS Sensors in your new wheels!

The chrome Bullitts look really nice on my car but one of the wheels has numerous raised pitting marks on it and another wheel/tire combo continuously leaks down after 3 or 4 days. I must say, those two issues have definitely dampened my enthusiasm over these wheels/tiresHelpful (3)

Hello, I am planning on these for a 94 5.0 build, but I can't seem to find any information concerning which brake kits would fit. Is there a max Rotor size/caliper size I need to worry about? Would a Wilwood Front Disc Brake Kit Forged Narrow Superlite 6R 12.88" fit, or do I need to look for something smaller, such as a 11" kit? Thanks in advance!
We cannot guarantee fitment if you go with a bigger brake than stock with any of our bullitt wheels. We would highly suggest a test fit, however any big brake kits we have test fit any of our bullitt wheels with, we have found they do not fit.
Do these come with the rim and tires?
What is the backspacing of the 10-1/2" Wheel?
The backspacing is 6.8" (174mm).
Will these 17x10,5 fit my 07 gt with no problems.
What is the cap size, like to use my caps. And when will you have stock, 17 x 10 1/2
These center caps are 2.5", however factory caps will not work with these wheels. Our inventory status will provide an updated estimate of when these will be back in stock.
Unfortunately, we do not currently carry a set of 17x10.5" black bullet rims at this point in time.
This kit will work with your 2000 GT Mustang. You may have to remove/flip the quad shocks in the rear for the wider tires. If you are still on stock suspension, this kit will not require you to roll the fenders.
Hello! Unfortunately a 10.5 is not going to fit in the rear of your car without quite a bit of work. Most of the guys and girls here run (and recommend) going with a 17x9 with a 235 or 245 in the front and a 17x9 in the rear with a 275. Unfortunately, much above that wheel width you will need to roll your fenders, and/or remove the quad shocks.
The wheels come with the cap included in the photo as the standard cap. We do have a variety of caps that will fit in the wheels, and there links are below: http://www.americanmuscle.com/matte-black-am-center-cap.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome-am-center-cap-9417.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/anthracite-am-center-cap-9417.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-center-cap-94-16.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/charcoal-center-cap-94-16.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/stainless-center-cap-94-16.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/silver-am-center-cap-9416.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/matteblack-am-centercap.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-am-centercap-am1.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome-am-centercap.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-aluminum-center-cap.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/silver-aluminum-center-cap.html
You should treat these Bullitt Chrome Wheels exactly how you would the paint of your car. You will want to use the same products that would use on the paint of your car and clean these wheels as often as you would your car. You can also wax them to keep a nice seal and protective coating on them. We recommend AGAINST using any type of wheel acid or extreme wheel cleaner, this may damage the clear coat and will void your 1 year finish warranty.
Simple installation for anyone.
