If your clutch is starting to slip or have that unmistakable "burnt" smell, an Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 clutch with Hydraulic Throwout Bearing will give you the holding power you need to light 'em up while maintaining driveability.

    Street or Strip. The Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 clutch is a performance oriented clutch upgrade, offering higher clamp loads without sacrificing driveability. It's perfect for the Mustang that stretches its legs on the street, strip, and track, since it offers smooth engagement with a firm, not rigid, pedal feel.

    Premium Quality. The Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 clutch is designed to offer the durability and performance of a racing clutch with the driveability of a stock piece. To make the Mach 500 kit, Exedy combines an organic compound disc and a powerful, high clamp load pressure plate for crisp yet smooth engagement and great wear. All of Exedy's discs feature spring center dampers to reduce drivetrain shock.

    Application. This Exedy Mach 500 Clutch with Hydraulic Throwout Bearing is designed for 2005 to 2010 4.6L V8 Mustangs with a TR3650 manual 10-spline transmission, including the GT and Bullitt models.

    It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.

        I know this clutch can hold up a full bolt on 07 GT running 28” slicks, however do you think the 10 spline input shaft will survive?

        According to your website this clutch can handle less torque than the Mach 400 Stage 2 version?

        • The Exedy Mach 400 Stage 2 Clutch is listed improperly. This clutch is rated for 408 ft-lbs at the rear wheels, whereas the Exedy Mach 500 Stage 3 Clutch is rated for 498 ft-lbs at the rear wheels.

            Love it!

            Works great. Has a much shorter throw on the peddle than the stock one. The peddle was stiff as a board, but worked itself out in no time. It's the same as stock as far as effort to engage and disengage. Definitely better than stock grip, though my stock clutch was 11 years old. Bought it with the steel braided cable, and an aluminum flywheel to match, so hopefully we won't have to drop the transmission anytime soon.

            Great choice!

            This is a great clutch and the pedal feel is still close to stock. Im just over my break in period so i can really put some power to the ground

            Vicki's clutch install

            Did the job on jackstands all by myself without a tranny lift. Took a full weekend. Fitment was excellent. I did this with a flywheel upgrade and upgraded to single piece aluminum driveshaft.

            Great clutch

            Replaced the stock clutch as the pressure plate was no longer completely disengaging. This new clutch was a lot stiffer than the old one, but feels very smooth and still. Very driveable. Definitely invest in a braided steel line.

            Exedy Mach Stage 3

            The clutch has a lot grab, my stock clutch was in my car for eight years before giving out. I'm happy with this clutch so far.

            Holy bite! The grip on this clutch over stock is awesome The BLACK MAMBA build would not be complete without this clutch While i had the transmission out i also installed some long tube headers But im very impressed by the clutch kit and lightened flywheel

            Clutch upgrade

            I went with this clutch kit upgrade in order to support the coming install of my whipple supercharger. The clutch pedal is a little stiffer than stock, but definitely has a solid grip. I would recommend this kit as it fit without issues, except that I dropped the original flywheel on my finger while removing it.. ouch.. get a buddy to help as i did this by myself on Jack stands and floor jack.. also I added the exedy racing flywheel which is a perfect fit, just be minded there is a specific bolt pattern.. don't force the install bolts If not perfectly lined up.. great product from a great provider..

            Mach 500 Exedy clutch with Exedy hydraulic throw out bearing

            I gotta say! I'm glad that you can purchase the Exedy clutch and the Exedy hydraulic throw out bearing all together!!! Thank you American muscle!!! The quality and the clamping force is just amazing! I combined it With an Exedy light weight flywheel! Remember to use new pressure plate bolts! Those bolts are to torque to yield! Meaning you can only use these once! I couldn't use the old ones because the lock washer is worn out. And they will loosen up! Causing your clutch to not disengage and unable get in gear! It will also cause your hydraulic throw bearing to break! So I went to the dealership and bought new ones! The threads on the new bolts are covered with a heavy coat of red thread lock on them! It took me about 4 hours to get my car back on the road but I took my time torqued everything to spec! The car feels a little quicker and revs up fast! I gotta say the clutch feels good! Thanks again American muscle!!!! For providing excellent service and providing the best parts!!!!

            What a HUGE difference!!!!

            This mach 500 stage 3 clutch made a significant difference over that weak factory clutch. My 06 GT feels like a sling-shot when I shift gears! For some reason It was very difficult to engage the gears (shift) for the first 30 miles. But after driving around town for roughly 1 hour over a 2 day period, It works great!!!! I believe the recommendation is to drive conservatively for about 500 miles before really getting on it. Great product!

            Great quality. Great bite. low noise

            Drives just like stock. Install for a first time clutch install took time but was easy after reading online tutorials. Instructions were non existent, Make sure to resurface your current flywheel or upgrade to a new light weight exedy flywheel. Follow the 500 mile break in period and you will have no clutch chatter and the bite is amazing. Runs perfect with my paxton 2200sl ho supercharger, rent and pilot bearing puller from and autostore to make your job easier,
