The Flowmaster Header Collector Ball Flange Kit; 3-Inch Collector/2.50-Inch Outlet is designed to provide a leak-free, gasket-free connection for exhaust header collectors. It replaces traditional three bolt flange connections with a ball and socket seal that ensures a secure slip-fit assembly. This kit is essential for achieving a durable exhaust system connection that requires welding for a permanent install.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from 16 gauge aluminized steel, the flange kit features a robust aluminized finish that resists corrosion and provides long-lasting durability. Both ends of the flange have inside diameter slip-fit connections, and the header flange thickness measures 3/8 inch for added strength. The parts come in a gray tone with a straight pipe configuration on inlet and outlet.
Installation. Installation requires welding and some adaptation since this is a universal fit product. No drilling is typically necessary, but careful assembly is required to ensure a precise and leak-free joint.
