  Worked Well

  Getting the VIN verified with Ford was a little bit of a pain but everything worked out ok. Once applied (dealership) low end and mid range boost was great. Gas mileage took a bit of a hit but it was nothing unexpected.

  Solid product

  Installled as advertised. Gains were noticeable and the car drives much smoother now. I am glad I made the purchase, it really woke the car up.

  Exactly as advertised

  I mainly got this tune to get rid of skip shift and it did just that. The slightly improved throttle response is also a welcome addition and livened up the car somewhat.

  A Little Pinging

  Install went ok. It told me to hook up a battery charger even though my battery was showing 14 volts. Once I did that it was a piece of cake. Did get some pinging on the local California 91 octane going up a slight grade on the freeway near sea level. Fortunately the tool allows you to dial it back. There are also adjustments for tire size which I didn't know about.

  Performance tune

  Easy install. Most noticable changes are the redline moving up and a slight increase in mpg. The torque at the lower rpm is not as prevelant but does shine through from a stop. Overall, its a good tune and is modest at best. If you want a CARB sticker/EO number and some small nuanced gains this is the tume for you.

  Fun acceleration

  I am very impressed with Ford. Went on their website Wednesday on my lunch break and ordered my procal and when I got home from work Thursday it was here! Install went off perfectly. I like the extra torque down low it gives making driving fun!

  Confident Quality

  Sturdy well built tool- the process to register and get the tuner was weird but it worked. The Instructions were very good and it was easy to install; but the battery warnings scared me a bit so I waited until I could have a charger ready if needed - didn't need it. Performance gain was noticeable but my main purpose was to accommodate new rear gears and wheel/tire size changes. Everything worked and I can be confident it won't mess something else up. Thanks

  11 GT/CS Red Candy Convertible

  Went with this tune because Ford backs it up even though I have no warranty left. The automatic does shift better, the gas pedal is more responsive and a little extra on the low end grunt. On the highway I'm getting 2 more mpg when I drive it normal. I'm very happy with this tune and American Muscle price matched another competitor.

  Noticeable seat of the pants difference!

  I decided to get the Pro-Cal tune because it was 1) the most cost-effective, and 2) advertised solid gains at 3500 rpm and below which is where I spend the most time anyway. The pro-cal tool works similar to other tuners, and after hooking up a trickle charger I had the new tune uploaded in 20 minutes. Initially I ran the tune with octane adjust sent to "N" but there was a considerable amount of spark knock. Switching it to "Y" virtually eliminated it. Overall, the car seems to idle much stronger than before, no more intermittent miss or stumble when backing up. The car definitely engine brakes now which is kind of cool, and the throttle response is greatly improved. Fuel mileage is up just a little bit, hard to tell after only 250 miles. Didn't use the KandN filter as I have the airaid kit with insert. Overall, I'd recommend this if you're looking for a decent, conservative tune with solid driveability improvements. Retaining 50-state legality and not having to worry come emissions testing time are also pluses too!

  Ford Pro-Call Kit

  The product works as expected, I had my local dealer install it but the chip didn't work so they had to go back and have another one sent to them. after receiving the new one the program went right in with no problems, I guess you can get defective parts form any supplier now days, once installed there is a noticeable difference in the torque and fuel mileage increase. I have a automatic trans and the program improved the shifting. I only rated it a 4 star because of the bad chip that came the first time.

  Smooth

  I received the KandN air filter and voucher Wednesday. I registered on the Ford Performance site at 6:30 that night. The Pro Cal was waiting for me Friday. The install was very easy following the instructions. My Mustang isn't a daily driver so I can only share my experience from the two times I've driven it since the install. First the herky jerky in first after a cold start in the morning is gone. I think that's related to the feeling that it's much easier to take off from a stop. I didn't have problems before but it feels much easier to take off with very little throttle. The biggest difference I've noticed is the throttle is much more linear. Prior to the tune I'd get a lot of go for only part throttle. It made for some unpredictable sprints that do not keep me in good favor with the wife. Now it's much easier to predict how much power I'm going to get from the movement of the pedal. The throttle response is snappier. I had a huge smile on my face today pulling out gently, engaging the clutch fully and then blipping the throttle a bit. The car responds instantly with a nice bark of the exhaust and a short shift sideways as the tires give way to the torque. The tune has made the car more enjoyable to drive. It's a little easier to take off and more predictable. I highly recommend this if you want an improved experience in your Mustang and not just as much speed as you can get.

  Pretty good basic mod

  I installed this myself with a small trickle charger attached to the battery and it was easy . My car is a 2011 GT with 19k miles so having a dealer install was a waste of time and money. I noticed better throttle response and it's a little easier to cruise around town at low RPMs. I have not had any pinging or idle problems at all so im pretty happy.

  Worth it

  If your looking for something to give you some extra power to get off the line without voiding your warranty this is it. Gives you a quality air filter which provides more air than the original so nothing negative to say about that. It's obviously not going to give you as much gains as you would get with an aftermarket tune like Bama or your local custom tune shop but it is definitely going to make your 5.0 Remind your not driving the 4.6

  Great Tuner

  The ProCal tune really improved the performance of the Mustang. Great product made by Ford Racing.

  Sweet

  I just got it loaded and i can tell a difference at lower rpm's. The only thing I wish is that you could order just the tuner. I don't need the filter so if needs it I'll give them a good deal.

  Dyno Tune

  DO NOT USE AFTER MARKET TUNES!!!! They can cause major damage to your engine and void your warranty. I can't go in to specific details but I highly recommend Dyno tunes because the can detect if your car is running to lean. Stay away from this product and other products like this.

  Sophistication Only An OEM Can Provide

  I have have used several aftermarket performance tuners and tune vendors over the last several years and can only say one thing; they all lack OEM sophistication and have unwanted side effects...especially in automatic transmission cars! Whether it be idle abnormalities, shifting concerns, poor mileage, or even downright failure of the transmission, I have endured them all! I was attracted to this product after reading the product description and explanation of aftermarket tuner deceptions in the Ford Performance catalog. I am delighted to report that there are no disappointments with ProCal, and the pure driving satisfaction that my "Stang" delivers has increased exponentially! The 5.0 Coyote really needed that 60 lb/ft torque boost at the lower RPM ranges to round out the power delivery experience! Over all the throttle response and auto tranny performance are more crisp and satisfying, plus you take no risk in screwing up your warranty. As an added bonus there are several other very useful and valuable functions included with the ProCal that make it a great value for the money! I also got a 2 to 3 mpg mileage increase as was reported by other users. Since I always use a catch can and only run 93 octane Shell Gasoline, I experienced none of the pinging reported by some other customers. Admittedly there are some talented aftermarket tune vendors out there, but none can have the sophisticated engineering, RandD, and test instrumentation of the OEM manufacturer and this product proves it!! I am FINALLY totally delighted with the results of this tuner and kit, Thank You, Ford Performance!!!

  Worth It !!

  My setup: 2014 GT Automatic with GT-500 Mufflers Street Driving 93 Octane gas - I always drive in Sport Mode Performance and Feel: One of the main differences between this tune and the stock tune is that the Pro-Cal tune puts more throttle action in the first 1/4 or so of pedal action. At first you might think this would be a problem but it is very helpful. If you want to pass someone or just get moving in a hurry, you don't have to dip down so far on the gas to get what you need. It's great. And I can really feel the added torque in the lower RPM range, which is where you would normally be in a street driving setting. I'm amazed at how much acceleration I can get without even downshifting. I haven't fully explored a full high speed pass but so far I am very happy with the performance. The car is a rocket ship to begin with, this just makes it an even faster rocket ship. Pinging: After the install I could hear very light pinging, if I put the engine under load while traveling at let's say 40 mph or so. I could only hear it with the windows open and with the sound reflecting off a nearby wall or building. With the windows closed I never heard any pinging. What I did hear was very light and only lasted a couple seconds. I switched the calibration to "Octane Adjust" and I have not heard any more pinging. And I honestly think it runs better at this setting. Shifting: I have not noticed any difference in shift points, at least not in normal driving. I normally drive in Sport mode, and in this mode the car will stay in a lower gear for a while if you get on the gas and then let off. With the Pro-Cal tune it stays in the lower gear for an even longer time. Sometimes I like that, sometimes I don't. When I don't, I just push the shifter to "D" so I get the upshift and then I go right back to "S". Installation: Installation is a snap, just follow the directions. I used a battery charger during the install, just for insurance. Conclusion: I think this is well worth the price, and it's by Ford so I am confident that it won't hurt the engine. I'm not worried about the warranty - I haven't blown up an engine yet and if I do it's my own fault. I might add that I also installed the Ford Racing Oil Separator at the same time, which is a very nice product. It looks like it came with the car. So the bottom line is, you want this!

  Ford Racing K N Air Filter with ProCal Great vlaue

  This product has turned my GT/CS into the what it should have been from the factory. Instant throttle response, no more throttle lag and now plenty of power down low. Gets off the line super quick with nice low end torque, works well with my 3.73 rear. Ford Racing had the unit to me the next day after registering the ProCal on line at FRPP website. A great experiance with both american Muscle and Ford Racing.
