Great Upgrade, Doubtful about fitment, but was actually perfect.
I purchased the wheel and Nitto tire combo about six months ago after reading some of the reviews here on AM.com. A couple of reviews had stated that the fitment was not perfect in the front and that wheels spacers would be required so that the wheels would not rub the inner fender when turning, and so that the wheel itself would not touch the brake caliper bracket. (2003 Mach I) In preparation for this potential issue, I paired the wheels and tires with a set of 25mm wheel spacers from H&R for the front and rear. (Great product as well) Long story short, spacers were not necessary at all. I noticed that the wheel backing that sits flush with the wheel hub is actually tapered slightly and gives just the perfect amount of clearance so that the front wheels do not come into contact with the brake caliper bracket. It makes me wonder if AM learned of this issue and revised the design of the wheel at some point after the reviews I read were posted. The tires have fantastic grip even without heat cycling, and when inflated properly the sidewall stiffness is adequate enough to keep my car planted when I'm testing the limits of grip around corners. I'm highly satisfied with my wheels and tires, but now I have four wheel spacers that I don't need.
