Popular Tire Setups for this Wheel
Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out our AmericanMuscle GT500 style wheels for your 94-04 Mustang. GT500s have always been the baddest Mustangs on the block, and now your ride can enjoy the stylings of the 2010 GT500, thanks to these split 5 spoke design wheels. The wheels are available in 3 different finishes, including a black painted finish, a triple dipped chrome finish, and a black machined finish. As for the sizing, the wheels are available in 18” diameters with a 9” front and a 10” rear, or a 19” diameter with an 8 ½ “ front, and a 10” rear. Now the staggered fit is cool for a couple different reasons, first off, it looks awesome, a wider rear tire and wheel combination makes for a much more aggressive appearance, and also helps give you better traction thanks to the wider rear tire. Not only that the narrower front tire gives better handling thanks to more responsive steering. It’s a win-win. Of course you can purchase these wheels individually if you’d like but the smart move would be to take advantage of our pre built tire and wheel combos that pair your new GT500 style wheels up with some of the top performing tires on the market today, in sizes that are guaranteed to fit your ride without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. Not only that you get to take advantage of our free mounting and balancing, optional nitrogen fill, and as always free shipping. These aluminum AM wheels are extremely durable, but if you should ever encounter a problem, each rim is covered by a lifetime structural warranty, as well as a one year warranty on the finish. Now your factory lug nuts will work just fine with your new wheels, however if you really want to complete the look, you might want to check out a set of matching lugs depending on what style of wheel you’re going with. For instance on our 2000 V6 here, we’ve opted for the black acorn style lug nut, to go along with our black powder coated wheel, for a really clean look. You also might want to check out some wheel locks to make sure you protect your investment as well. A new set of wheels can drastically alter the attitude and appearance of any ride, so give your 94-04 Mustang a serious attitude adjustment thanks to these GT500 style wheels.

Note: Priced per wheel.
Note: The stock lug nuts (13/16”) prove to be too large when used in conjunction with these wheels. Please take a look at the Lug Nut Ordering Options above for some compatible options.
Fitment: 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998
Mounting & Balancing: AmericanMuscle offers professional mounting and balancing on all wheels and tires when purchased together on the same order. This will allow you to swap out your old wheels for your new set when they arrive.
What is TPMS? The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS for short) is a factory installed safety feature on all 2007 and newer Ford Mustangs that alerts you when your tire pressure drops to an unsafe limit.
How do I keep my TPMS feature? Aftermarket wheels do not come with TPMS sensors. However, if you select 'Add TPMS Sensor Kit' and your specific year range from the options listed above, we'll install the TPMS Sensors in your new wheels!

This is the best investment that I have put into this car yet. I would do this again for sure. The wheels fill out the wheel wells nicely. The tires handle mountain roads with lots of good grip. The old rotten tires would burn out easy where the Sumitomo tires have excellent launch off the line. The only thing that was a little troubling was how tight they go on. Other than that, great investment.Helpful (0)

These rims give your mustang a whole new stance and eye appeal. The only complaint I have is that one rim I received had a decent gouge in it. Other then that, they are beautiful and give your car a nice stance. I have 19's in back and 18's in front.Helpful (9)

Great combination with great performance.
These rims and tires go beautifully together. The pictures do not do them justice. I ordered mine with a nitrogen fill and the ride could not be any smoother. The traction is great. I highly recommend this set.Helpful (18)

Why did I hold off on these?!
I went from stock 17"s to this staggered 18" set and I've lowered my red Mustang 2" with an Eibach kit. I was worried about fitment/rubbing issues, but the wheel/tire combo fit beautifully with no issues whatsoever!!! I have fallen in love with my Mustang all over again!! I absolutely LOVE the new look!! The only thing I plan on changing are the center caps...going with the "galloping pony" logo in lieu of the "A.M." logo (which are still nice!). Shipping was fast and the quality of the wheels is superb. I'll be posting pics soon. Look for a red 1999 GT (you should know what badging to look for LOL) that's been lowered and has the ultra-glossy tires...that's me! Thanks American Muscle!!!!!!Helpful (9)

Beautiful looking rims!
The pictures you see from costumers are not enough! These wheels are so shiny! Get them if you'd like, you wont regret it. You'll stare at it for such a long time because of how shiny and pretty they are! I just need tires and a lowering kit to complete the look on my Mustang. One of the rims came scratched due to shipping, but once the tires are mounted, it will not be seen. So I have nothing to worry about! Five stars for American Muscle!Helpful (9)

I put shop install because I just bought the wheels themselves and will be getting different tires than what AM has for their sets. But these wheels are absolutely amazing to look at, they give the car a whole new look. The black on the wheel is nice with my car being black, but the machined face pops even more because of that. I love these wheels, absolutely 110% satisfiedHelpful (9)

My Mustang is black and these wheels look like they belong on the car. The staggered rear wheels definitely fill out the wheel well much better than the stock wheels. I can't comment on the Sumitomo tires just yet. We are having one heck of a winter in PA so the Mustang hasn't been out of the garage. I will update this review once I put some miles on them. My only complaint is that two of the wheels have more balancing weights than I expected. The weights are stacked and even though they are black, the adhesive is white. I am contemplating using a black permanent marker on the white adhesive tape to hide it. I'm not sure if AM had to use so much weight because of the tires or the rims. Overall I am very pleased with the way these look on the car.Helpful (9)

Easy appearance change
Great wheels I got the staggered set but looks like the tires in the rear could be a little bigger to fit the 10 inch rim the side wall slops back instead of going straight upHelpful (10)
Will the center cap from my OE wheels fit the center opening in this wheel?
The 2010 GT500 Style Black Machined Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit will be incompatible with your factory center caps. The Diameter will be the same, but the depth of the mounting tabs differs, preventing the OEM center caps from properly fitting.
I have a 1998 mustang gt convertible .will the tires rub on the lower control arms when turning the wheels to the furthers position lock to lock.do you need rack limiters.and I installed the bilstein rear quad shocks from american muscle is there enough clearance that I can keep them on with no interference.my ride height is the stock height.
This wheel and tire kit should work perfectly fine on your 1998 GT. You will not have any rubbing or clearance issues with this set up.
Are the front abd rear same sizes or different sizes?
These 2010 GT500 Style Black Machined Wheel can be used in either the front or back. If you would like a staggered set-up, you could use a wheel with a wider width for the rear.
Can these be used on a fox body in conjunction with a 5 lug conversion? Fox or 95-95 sn95 spindles? 245/40 front 275/35 rear.
The 2010 GT500 Style Black Machined Wheel - 18x9 will not be a direct fit for a Fox Body. If you have a conversion kit from AM, we do have a few wheels which we have confirmed fitment for, and they can be found at the link below: http://www.americanmuscle.com/87-93-mustang-wheels-rims.html#shop-by7 All other wheels were require modifications/alteration for proper fitment.
will these rub with 2-inch drop front I lowered my '04 GT with H&R super sport springs. the stated drop is 2.0" front and 1.6" rear. but having thrown away the isolators I feel that the front might be even lower that stated. I can barely fit one finger between the tire and the well on stock 17 rims with 245/45/17s. would the wheel and tire combo in this package fit without rubbing?
You should be fine. The reason you are so close to rubbing now is that you have a 45 sidewall, drop down to a 35 sidewall with these and you won't have any problems. I have had these for four years with H R springs with no isolators and have had no issues on a 275/35/18 on all 4 corners.
You could install this wheel and tire package along with springs up to a 2" drop without having any rubbing or clearance issues - the SR Springs would be a great complement! You also can just bolt on and enjoy - these have the proper offset and backspacing and no spacers are needed. Hope this helps to answer your questions!
Simple installation for anyone.
