Hey Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm checking out Magnaflow's street series Catback exhaust fitting the 2013 Mustang GT. The Magnaflow street offers a deep throaty tone but without being overly loud or raspy, in fact it isn't that much louder than your factory exhaust. What it does give you is a nice refined tone with practically zero drone that's mild enough when cruising around yet still offers a good amount of bark whenever you get on the pedal. The relatively mild tone is a result of Magnaflow's more traditional chambered muffler, the entire system is constructed of stainless steel, and features 3" mandrel bent tubing through those mufflers and exiting out the brightly polished 4" tips. Installing this exhaust on your Mustang is fairly straightforward and should only take a couple of hours in the garage using standard hand tools. Now let's hear how the Magnaflow street catback sounds compared to our factory exhaust.

I started off trying to install this exhaust myself with just some ramps. After a couple of sheared bolt heads that attach to the muffler clamps, I tightened it back up the best I could and took it to a shop. My car has 40,000 miles on it and the bolts didn't want to budge. At the shop, they had it swapped out in under an hour. Afterwards, the mechanic told me I would have had a tough time with the install even if the bolts hadn't sheared. He said the stock pipes have to be rotated at least 45 degrees to get them over the axles and without some really tall ramps, that wasn't going to happen. The sound is pretty awesome. Not too loud and definitely not stock either. Just enough to make me smile from ear to ear with that beautiful bellow from a modified Mustang exhaust. In the first 3 gears, I can hear the difference dramatically. By the time I get to 6th, I can't tell the difference from stock.Helpful (7)

Love the deep rumble
This is not the loudest exhaust I have heard, just a nice deep rumble over the stock exhaust. Everything fit perfect and was well built. Got it put in in less than hour. Noticed a slight gain in performance, but cold startup sounds excellent. Perfect exhaust if you do not want to be annoying.Helpful (8)

Loud but not obnoxious
I am very happy with my new system. Be sure to get the X-Pipe along with the catback. It is a huge improvement over the stock system and is more open and less restrictive when you step on the gas. You get a nice growl through all the gears and no drone at all. Highway and local driving you can still have a conversation and enjoy your music. Lots of compliments on it already including the neighbor.. 8)Helpful (9)

Solid Cat Back
Solid system with no fitment issues, except one. The back passenger side muffler cannot be cosmetically matched with the driver side. Its a small point but is really the only issue I have with it. THE SOUND is perfect. Currently it is set up without a bigger flowing mid pipe (stock H for now) and sounds exactly like the video clip. Its slightly louder (db wise) than stock with a much deeper tone. You won't wake the neighbors but if they are awake they will hear you coming. A few tips to install: find a lift, it would make everything easy. I did the install on 4 16in jack stands and had to get the axle to droop as far as possible by removing parts and bolts to get the stock system out.Helpful (8)

Magnaflow Street Catback Exhause (13-14 GT)
The craftsmanship of this product is nothing short of outstanding! I could tell right away by looking at the old stock exhaust compared to the magnaflow that it was going to breath better. The old over the axle pipes have so many crimps and bends in them and this system completely changed the sound of the car. The car isn't really LOUD but it has a deeper and throatier growl to it that you can just feel and it sounds mean without being obnoxious. I have a Lethal Performance O/R-H on with this system and don't feel it's too loud even without the cats, it's just right!Helpful (10)

a good balance of performance and sound
The system went on very nice with aftermarket H pipe with stock manifolds. Sound is deep with no drone at all rpm ranges. You only notice that its not stock when you put your foot in it. Did in home garage with 32 inche jack stands placed at jack points on chassie. Like the looks of tips, they are more flush with body, stock pipes stick out to far. Magnaflow hit it out of the park with this system !!!Helpful (9)

I have had a Magnaflow exhaust installed on my diesel truck and knew the quality of these systems. I had no regrets ordering this system for my 13 GT. The system is by far one of the best constructed I have installed. The sound of this system both at idle and highway cruising speeds will please even the most conservative driver. Highly recommend this system to any new 5.0 owner!Helpful (10)
