Just install this Magnaflow X-pipe along with the 2005-2009 GT catback exhaust of your choice, to give your Mustang an impressive throaty V8 sound and an increase in rear wheel horsepower.

    Reuses Stock Cats. The installation of this Magnaflow Mustang V6 X-pipe requires cutting the factory H-pipe and reuses the stock catalytic converters saving you money.

    Quality Materials. Magnaflow constructs their Cut and Clamp X-Pipes from super durable 2.5" mandrel bent Stainless Steel tubing for improved exhaust flow and long life.

        What happens if I DON'T put in the cats? would that make it louder? Technically making it off road?

        • If the Magnaflow Cut and Clamp X-pipe is installed without reusing the catalytic converters, the exhaust will be louder, and it would indeed make it an off-road exhaust. With removing the catalytic converters, you would need a tune to take care of the check engine light. We would highly recommend Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner w/ 3 Custom Tunes, item101200G056, for a tune to remove the check engine light. http://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-custom-tuner-0510gt.html

        Will these fit long tube headers? (Specifically Kooks for the 2008 v6).

        I have the conversion kit on my car but I also install pipes straight pipes and removed the cat but I want to make the car louder and deeper tone will it fit on my car. ?

        • The Magnaflow Cut and Clamp X-pipe is designed to replace the stock y pipe after the cats, and connect to a GT style catback. This would be unable to work with your setup. Additionally an X pipe will tend to give a raspier/racey exhaust tone.

        2010 V6 Will this work/fit on a 2010 V6? If so, is there any other accessories I would need to make it work?

        • The Magnaflow Cut and Clamp X-pipe will not properly fit on a 2010 V6. Pypes does produce a cut and clamp x-pipe which will fit the 2010 model as well, and that would be the best part for a confirmed fitment. The item number is 20042 for the x-pipe for your year-model.

            A MUST HAVE

            I purchased these xpipes and the Flowmaster catback outlaws for my 07 v6. Installation was easy (installed in my driveway with the car on jacks). This was the best purchase ever. Allowed me to easily install any GT catback. People say a v6 will never sound like a v8, but I’ve put plenty to shame with this setup. Not only is it loud, but it is a deep sound. How every mustang should sound! I also received increased performance, and gas mileage (when I’m not driving fast and letting my pipes sing). Don’t consider doing anything else! Spend the money on true duals you’ll never look back. I feel like I have a new car, and everyone thinks my car is a GT.

            X Pipe

            this x-pipe does NOT fit with magnaflow cat back, it is meant to fit with a stock exhaust. i had to make my own piping for about 1 foot to make it fit. other than that the product is great. increased hp on the dyno by 5
