        worst system ever

Wow, what a piece of junk! What type of system comes with one side of duels? This had drivers to muffler and nothing for pass side. Cat pipes had to be bent to fit, hangers on cross pipe bent all out of shape. Another quality product from American Muscle. You got the last of my money, EVER!

        Whatcha need

Will need an axle back at exhaust system, a hanger kit, and need to keep the existing midpipe Great product, loud and raspy Just get those two things, and keep your midpipe and then you are all set. Will be an all day project if doing it on jackstands.

        4 2008 V6 - MattS Installation Time: Full Day

        need a pipe!

First off, please keep your stock exhaust mid-pipe. The BBK system comes with the cats, x-pipe, 1 mid-pipe, and 1 over axle pipe. The piping is for the driver's side. The passenger side pipe (already on your car) will be reused. Second, buy the hanger kit. It is $50 for two, and $80-$100 a piece at other shops in town. Third, you will need a GT axle back system. Pro tip- use a lift, or take it to a shop. The cats are in a tight spot, and removing them on jack stands was difficult without much room to work, and fighting rust as well. Sound is great, I paired it with the Flowmaster American Thunder axle back system. It brings a substantial increase in volume, and has a DRONE in the interior starting around 2000RPM -- she starts to roar around 3500. (For a daily driver, that might be an issue as phone calls in the car are hard to hear) The axle back I got was a "quieter" rumble, but she roars as is :)

        1 2006 V6 - David

        Still waiting

The dual exhaust kit arrived when I was told it would! Problem is, it was missing the x pipe and the template for the bumper valence. I am still waiting for their decision on returning the kit (what there was of it) and a refund a week later. The next box wants to know how long it took to install - 1 week so far!

        Sounds Great

I ordered the BBK true Dual exhaust kit along with the BBK shorty tuned headers. Since we had a lift, it was a pretty easy install except for the coil pack bracket had to be cut to make the headers fit on the driver's side. I am using mufflers that came off of a GT/CS and the sound is great.

        Quality control needs work

First one I received wouldn't even come close to fitting properly. The catted pipe in the passenger side was improperly curved and too short. AM sent a replacement and catted sections were bent properly this time but passenger side pipe was still over 2 inches short. Fortunately I had a different x-pipe to use and was able to make it work. For the cost I think BBK could do a better job!

Perfect Raspy Sound! Lets your Pony breath better, Got this with the 05-09 GT Borla ATAK Axle Exhaust. Good Combination, especially if you want the loudness. Recommend you get this or any other x pipe.

BBK True dual Exhaust kit nice product

THE BBK True Dual Exhaust Conversion kits is a great purchase, excellent fit. It will be 3/4" short from the CATS end pipe to the X pipes. This is normal. the Coupler will correct the problem. Use a SUV or Truck jack stand this will help a great deal. Installation time will vary on the health and flexibility of installer.

Will this work with the MAC 1-5/8 in. Chrome Long Tube Headers and Slp Axle-back loudmouth?

      • No, this is not compatible with longtube headers.

I recently converted from a Y-pipe exhaust to this true dual exhaust and noticed reduced responsiveness. I also recently heard that allowing the exhaust gas to escape too rapidly could cause decreased backflow pressure which could burn out the valves. Is there any way of measuring the backflow pressure to determine if it remains within specs? Would a tune correct any problem with this?

      • Unfortunately there isn't a true formula to answer this question. Every Mustang reacts differently to modifications such as this, however what you are saying happened is definitely possible. Speaking with exhaust shops or tuners could help, however ultimately either adding more power or more restrictive piping is the answer.

Any other tubing required? So if I got the pype bomb axelback coupled with this, is that all that's needed?

      • Yes that's all you need

will this fit my setup? I currently have the Magnaflow dualCat Back conversion system. I was hoping that buying this and short tube headers it will all bolt together. I don't want to do anything very crazy as far as custom pipes I like the bolt and go so I can return it to stock for any problems with emission problems. Where I live if you modify stock piping layouts they can fail you so bolt and go is the best solution for me. The magnaflow dual has been on for almost a year. Thanks for any help .

      • This will get you close to what you are looking for, but you might have to do some fitting to get the BBK system to mate with Magnaflow system when you get rid of the 2 into 1 connector pipe. The shorty headers should work with the BBK system with out any issues.

What is the cutting template for that’s included in the kit? Is for the stock bumper cover so the driver side has a cutout?

      • That is correct, the template is for the second exhaust outlet.
