I replaced the factory bar on a lowered gt with this. easy install because MM presets the length to the factory bar length before shipping. Adjustment is straight forward and my axle is back where it belongs now.

        It's a Panhard bar!

Really like it. I bought one for my foxbody so I decided to go with MM for my 2014. I'll never look back.

        Great product!

I recently installed this adjustable Panhard bar on my 2014 Shelby GT500. The bar fit perfectly and was easy to adjust. I had the rearend centered in no time. I was worried the spherical ends would be noisy but you can't even tell the difference from stock. I would definetly recommend this product on lowered Mustangs.

        Great for centering axle

This product goes well with all suspension upgrades. Really helps center rear axle after installing new suspension lowering kit.

        MM PHB Install

I was able to install by myself. One side when in easy but the other side would not align. So I had to place jack stands under the frame rails and then I was able to easliy guide rear end housing to phb bolt. A little over an hour to complete. First thing I noticed was a slight increase in rear end noise. Nothing overbearing though. Tires are really planted to the ground now. No axle hop just spinning tires all the way through third. Stock Pirelli's cant handle the grip. Need better tires now to hook and book. The PHB and LCA's are just what I was looking for. No more sloppy rubber bushings and shedded a few pounds back in the rear.

        Not the best design

I bought this at the time I bought my FRPP lowering kit, after having read it was a must have. Well, it wasn't really a "must have" on my car as the axle was pretty close to aligned with the stock bar. I later installed the bar anyway as I had already bought it and it was just laying around collecting dust. The single worst part about this bar is adjusting it. You can't get a wrench on the passenger side jam nut with it mounted on the car. So, if you are unfortunate enough to need to adjust it to after installing it, you have to take the bar off to adjust.....and if you are still a little off, then the bar has to come off AGAIN....and again and again. After adjusting mine 4 times I got it within tolerance. Fortunately for me I own a shop and have a lift at my disposal. If you are doing this on your back in the driveway, save yourself the aggravation and get one that has the adjustments in the middle of the bar, or even on the sides but not with the jam nut on the ends like this one. After going through all the irritation, the bar itself functions well and I have yet to hear any real NVH increase and I put it through it's paces. Given all that, I call it 3 stars overall because of the poor engineering design on adjustments. If you take that out of the rating, it's a 4-5 star product. Knowing what I know now, I'd opt for another manufacturer with a better design....and thus I wouldn't recommend this particular design.

Very easy upgrade that is well worth the money took about 45 mins to install and adjust the rear end. Took the car for a test drive and insult felt the difference. The car is much more predictable. Solid piece by Maxim motorsport :)

5 2013 GT - PCressey Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

Center your axle, don't look lame.

The install was pretty easy. Getting the bolts off takes a little effort since they are torqued on there at 129 ft/lbs. I found the best way to install this was to jack the car up on the rear diff, and puts jack stands on the rear axle. This allows the car to squat as if it is sitting on the road, which allows you to get the perfect alignment of the axle to the body. Put the MM panhard bar in without any adjustment, as it is the same length as the stock panhard bar; this way you don't have to force the right side to line up. Loosen both jam nuts on either side of the panhard bar, then install the panhard bar. Simply rotate the panhard bar until the wheels are lined up. Then back off the panhard bar about a 1/4 turn, then hand tighten the passenger jam nut. Then take your 18mm wrench and tighten the panhard bar against that jam nut so it is tight. Then tighten the jam nut on the drivers side. This will all make sense once you are under the car. Hope it helps.

        Great quality, fit & finish

This panhard bar works and looks great, what more can you ask! Install was a piece of cake, the only PITA is the jamb nut on the passenger side but that's due to the car configuration, I found a pair of needle nose vice grips works good enough for that tight area though. Otherwise I have no complaints.

My wheel balance in the rear is off by about a 1/4" I had lowering springs added. I have heard that an adjustable pan hard bar can bring the axle back to center. Is this correct and if so which bar do you recommend. I kinda like this Chrome version. Thanks

      • Hello! That is correct a panhard bar will bring the axle back to center. This Maximum Motorsports Adjustable Panhard Bar w/ Spherical Rod Ends is a great product and would work nicely.
