Peace of Mind. When replacing or upgrading your Mustang's clutch you have two options, resurfacing your old stock flywheel, or getting a brand new flywheel. A new flywheel is a much better choice than resurfacing, as it will dictate how well your new clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.

Steel Construction. Manufactured from steel for extra strength, this McLeod Flywheel features a ring gear of 157 teeth with a six bolt main pattern. Steel flywheels are perfect for street and race applications where off the line acceleration is desired.

SFI Certified. If you're using this flywheel in high performance or racing applications, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver - at higher RPMs, stock cast flywheels have been known to explode.

Weights Included. The McLeod Flywheel includes a 28oz and a 50oz flywheel weight so you can install the correct weight for your specific engine balance.

Application. This McLeod Flywheel fits the 1986-1995 LX 5.0, GT and 1993-1995 SVT Cobra Mustangs equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine and is the perfect companion to your new McLeod Clutch.

Hi, I have a 1989 Mustang GT aluminum driveshaft 31 spline diff. 355 rear end gear 31 spline axles. UPR upper and lower control arms. ford t5 transmission maximum motor sports clutch petal adjuster steeda adjustable clutch cable with firewall adjuster. The question is would this fly wheel be good to go with for daily driver and standard McLeod clutch. I want to fell the benefit if i spend the extra for this flywheel. Please be technical with your answer?

  • This McLeod Racing Lightened Steel Flywheel can still work out well for a daily driver. The material is much stronger than the stock cast flywheel originally from the factory and also lighter which is noticeable in your driving experience. Given the increased durability of this particular flywheel, it's a great option for track guys/gals and for drag strip use since it can handle the RPMs dished out by more powerful applications. This isn't meant to deter daily drivers away from this option though.

    Look No Further!!!

If you are looking for the "BEAST" of flywheels...Well Look No Further! This is an Awesome Product! I just installed it and what a difference! You will NOT be disappointed! BTW...It's a little costly but "TRUST ME" it's worth it. You won't have to worry about it coming apart like the other brand (I will not mention the name) did...
