      Hey, guys. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Mickey Thompson Street Comp tire for Challengers. It's an affordable high-performance summer tire for all Challengers. You can pick this tire up in a handful of different sizes, including 17-inch, 18-inch, and 20-inch, and in different widths as well, from a 245 up to a 315. Of course, there will be different size options with different side walls, and you have a handful to pick from to fit your setup. With that being said, the pricing will change depending on what specific size you're looking at, but you can expect to spend between 100 and 200 bucks per tire.So, Mickey Thompson is widely known for their drag tires and their off-road performance tires, but, this right here is Mickey Thompson's dedicated street tire. It's an affordable option in the high-performance summer tire category, and it brings an asymmetric tread pattern for performance in both wet and dry conditions. And it's heavy-duty for that performance, but also lightweight at the same time. The asymmetric tread pattern means that these tires are not directional, and that they can be rotated. Rotating the tires in that good old-fashioned way does mean that you can get a little bit more life out of them in the long run.And looking at the tread design closer, you can see that there are large corner blocks here. These are, very simply put, going to help with traction. They're going to help off the line, but they're also going to help with cornering traction too. They do act to stiffen up the tire a little bit. Then you have five deep grooves in the middle of the tire, and these are going to help the tire perform in wet conditions.Like a normal ultra-high performance tire, the side wall's pretty plain here, so you can expect the usual with that. And the UTQG rating is 300 for treadwear, which means that this is a pretty soft tire, but it's not the softest out there. The soft compound is going to help with traction too. Both traction and temp grade are the highest out there, which means AA and A. And I will say that I do have these tires on two of my cars at home, and I will say that they are highly functional.One thing to keep in mind though is that these are technically summer tires, so they can be sensitive to the cold. You'll want to make sure that they have some heat in them before romping on it and taking off down the road, and just be mindful of that fact.
