- How to Install Wheels on Your 1979-2013 Mustang
Hey Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out Forgestar’s F15 monoblock wheels, available in your choice of either matte black, gun metal, piano black, and silver, fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs. At first glance you can see the design of the F14 Is more of a multispoke mesh wheel design, which has become extremely popular with the Mustang crowd as of late, which is course due to cars such as the RTR and the 2013 GT 500, both of which sport a variation of the mesh wheel design. These monoblock or one piece aluminum wheels go through an advanced process during production called rotary forging, this greatly improves the strength of the wheel, specifically the barrel, and generally reduces the weight of the wheel itself. The F14’s are offered in a wide variety of sizing options including an 18, 19, and 20 inch diameter, and in 9, 10, and 11 inch widths. Because there are a few different width options available, you can easily achieve that classic staggered look, by sticking a wider rear wheel and tire in the back versus the front, which in my opinion is the only way to roll. Chances are if you’re buying new wheels, you’re going to need new tires, we offer a pre built combinations, where we pair your F14’s up with some of the top tires on the market today, in sizes that are guaranteed to fit your car without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. Of course you can also take advantage of our free mounting and balancing, free shipping and handling. Finally, all Forgestar wheels are backed by a lifetime structural warranty. When it does come time to install your new wheels just grab a floor jack and some basic hand tools. You’ll want to crack the lugs loose first on the stock wheels before getting the car in the air, after you do that, jack the car up and swap the 4 wheels and tires. Doesn’t get a lot easier than this, but since there is a little work involved, we’ll call it an hour from start to finish. So if you’re looking to take a break from the standard 5 spoke wheel and you want to go with a more modern multispoke mesh wheel design, then be sure to check out these quality lightweight aluminum wheels from Forgestar available right here at AmericanMuscle.com

I was very pleased with the finish on these rims and pretty surprised by the weight when I picked them up. My bathroom scale had them weighing in at 24.0lb and they look awesome on my Race Red 14 GT.Helpful (11)

I ordered my set of staggered 19" F14 wheels in piano black and couldn't be happier! Like all wheel and tire combos from American Muscle, the set came pre mounted and balanced, all I had to do was swap them out in less than an hour. The piano black finish on the wheels is absolutely perfect and really helps to complete the look of my 2012 silver GT. Build quality on the wheels is also great. Would definitely purchase again!Helpful (10)

love the wheels
I got the piano black f14 for my black gt track pkg. These wheels make the car. Love the all black look to. Dirt and dust seem to wipe right off the painted wheels. They are also much lighter than stock so another plus for them. Pricy but u get what you pay for.Helpful (10)
i know the name is "forgestar" but are these wheels forged?
These Staggered Forgestar F14 Piano Black Wheel & NITTO INVO Tire Kit will be a lightweight rotary forged wheel.
Will these fit with a 2" drop suspension on 2012 gt convertible?
The Staggered Forgestar F14 Monoblock Piano Black Wheel & NITTO INVO Tire Kit will fit the 2012 GT Mustang Convertible with a 2" lowering suspension.
Will these clear the m-2300-s SVT front brake upgrade kit ?
These will clear the big brakes yes.
What size lug nuts do I need? It says in the description that stock are too large.
The Staggered Forgestar F14 Piano Black Wheel & Sumitomo Tire Kit - 19x9/10 will not work with a stock lug size that is correct. What we recommend is the Black 6 Spline Lug Nut Kit - 1/2 in. x 20 ITEM#390741. https://www.americanmuscle.com/6spline-lugnuts-black-7914.html
how much does one rim weigh without tire on it? trying to compare
The Forgestar F14 Monoblock Piano Black Wheel: 19x10 weighs 24.5 lbs and the Forgestar F14 Monoblock Piano Black Wheel: 19x9 weighs 24.0 lbs.
Hello! We do not currently have an ETA on when the Staggered Forgestar F14 Monoblock Piano Black Wheel & NITTO INVO Tire Kit may be coming back in stock. You can click the "Notify Me" Link to receive an email notification once these become available.
I had fitment issues with using these on front of my Boss 302. They would just slightly scratch the calipers of the Brembo package. I ended up using a 5 mm spacer (3/16 inch) to fix the issue. Even with the spacer, there is very little (but adequate) spacing. I am running 285/35/19's tires and have no issues with the tire rubbing on the street or track.
The Forgestar F14 Monoblock Piano Black Wheel - 19x9 (05-14 All) can fit up to a 275, and your Mustang can support that large of a tire as long as it is not lowered. If it is lowered, I would highly suggest measuring how much more room you have right now to see if it will fit, or you can just get 255s and not have to worry about measuring.
Simple installation for anyone.
