        5 2010 V6 - Jimmy Installation Time: Full Day

        Wait no longer

Installed all new dual exhaust on my 2010 mustang 4.0. Using ceramic shorty headers, high flow cats and the pypes X-Pipe. I used Magna flow mufflers. Everything fit with no issues and I am very pleased with the results. Do not wait any longer and do this set up to your pony. You won't regret it.

        Pypes X-Pipe

Great product sounds a lot less like a V6 than it used to. Previously ran the stock Y-Pipe w a single Flowmaster 44 so honestly it made the car quieter. At my shop we installed this X-Pipe and fabricated back to dual Flowmaster 44s. Overall got more torque in 4th and 5th gear at low rpms, very impressed.

        5 2005 V6 - RyanT Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Perfect fit

Already had a dual exhaust, but no crossover. This xpipe helped alot with the stone from before, and sounds more like a mild gt now, and slight pep in throttle response. Would buy again.

        Convert to dual exhaust

Well when i first initially ordered this I thought it was going to be a easy cut and connect part into the stock piping's but I was wrong, especially because I did it myself with just a ramp and Jacks. The part that didn't fit properly over the stock piping was piping coming down from the headers, so I had to go to an Auto zone to rent out there exhaust spreader to which I expanded the end of the tubes of the x-pipe going to the headers. After that was done it fit over the stock piping perfectly. I'm in no way a expert so that might say how kinda easy it was for me. Just a DIY type of guy

      5 Top Rated Questions

Can this X pipe replace the X pipe in the Pypes SFM69 true dual exhaust kit?

      • Yes, this can replace the X-pipe that comes with the Pypes True Dual Exhaust.

Better exhaust setup I'm planning on getting this X-pipe to hopefully finish upgrading my mustangs exhaust. Currently I'm running stock cats into divorced 2.25in piping all going into dual Flowmaster Super 10s. I plan on running this X-pipe with Pypes High Flow Cats all into my 2.25in piping and Flowmasters. Does this sound like it would make a good exhaust setup for my Mustang or should I change up a few things to get a better sound for my car?

      • I removed the stock cats, turned off my rear O2 sensors, to use the Pypes off road x-pipe. Clamped it to my stock exhaust pipes and to my Corsa sport performance axel back mufflers. I have a deep aggressive sound, added a few more horses and absolutely turn heads on the road. I have seen the Pypes off road x-pipe used in conjunction of the Pypes pipe bombs. Amazing! So, depending on the emissions for where you live, you may want to keep the cats on. But if you're looking for that agressive deep throaty sound, you can't go wrong with the Pypes Off-Road X-Pipe.

I have a stock 2006 V6 and I am looking to upgrade the exhaust. I have looked all over forums for what to do/ what is best, and I am just looking for further input. Should I go with a dual exhaust? If so, should i buy the X-pipe and then purchase a GT take off exhaust, or should I just buy an actual dual exhaust conversion kit? And if I stay with a single exhaust, what is a good muffler to use to give a more aggressive tone? 1 answer
