    Review & Install Video

Hey everybody, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my quick breakdown and sound clips of the Pypes Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust system available for your 2015 Mustang GT. So the Pype-Bomb is a system that Pypes developed a few years ago to be a very budget friendly axle-back that will live up to the name of Pype-Bomb and give you that very aggressive tone that most of us Mustang owners are after. Now the system was such a hit that they pretty much developed a kit for every generation Mustang and now it's available for your 2015 Mustang. As you all just heard, this thing definitely delivers that super aggressive tone and for a price that might just be one of the most affordable here with the new 2015 Mustangs. Now as I did mention earlier, this thing has been very popular with previous generations. In fact, you can check out over 100-plus reviews for the S197 Coyote crowd to hear what this thing might sound like on your own Coyote Mustang. Pypes stuck with the same formula here for the new 2015 axle-back and this includes full stainless steel construction, the two and a half inch mandrel bent tubing, and of course these massive four inch resonated tips, the calling card of any Pybe-Bomb system. It is worth mentioning, guys, that even though I do have the polished version here with me today in this video, Pypes does offer the same exact axle-back but in an anodized black finish if you're after that stealthy look. You guys should all know the deal by now when it comes to 2015 axle-back installs. Yes, you do have to cut, but it's a lot easier than you might think. Now do yourself a favor. Get a fresh sawzall blade before getting started. Of course, wear your eye protection. Measure twice and cut once. And you should be making some noise in less than an hour from start to finish. Either way, guys, if you do need any help whatsoever, you can always give us a call here at AM. One of our Mustang experts will be more than happy to help you out. So, if you guys are looking to crank up the volume on that new Coyote powered GT and you don't wanna spend a ton of dough in the process, then be sure to check out the always popular Pype-Bomb Axle-Back from Pypes right here at americanmuscle.com.

Aggressive Sound. Give your Coyote powered S550 Mustang the aggressive sound that will get it noticed on the street or at the strip with a Pypes "Pype Bomb" axle-back exhaust. This muffler delete style axleback provides the most aggressive, free-flowing exhaust possible with your factory cats still in place - delivering more power you can feel and hear.

Resonator Tips. The engineers at Pypes designed their new muffler delete exhaust system with specially engineered tips which include resonators to eliminate that loud annoying popping noise that other muffler delete kits can cause.

Stainless Steel Construction. Manufactured from free flowing mandrel-bent 16 gauge 304 stainless steel tubing for durability and long life, this Pypes "Pype-Bomb" axle-back exhaust system features a pair of black powder coated 4" resonator tips for intimidating muscle car good looks and sound.

Cut & Clamp Installation. The installation of this Axle-Back Exhaust system requires cutting and removing the factory muffler assemblies and clamping the new muffler assemblies in place. Clamps and instructions are provided.

Application. This Black Pypes "Pype-Bomb" Axle-Back exhaust system is specifically designed to fit 2015-2017 GT Mustangs, including both the Fastback and Convertible models. Cutting the factory exhaust is required for installation.

I see that the V6 is not listed. Will this be compatible with a 2015 3.7L Mustang?

i installed these and they are much louder than in the video clips. The pulsing and drone on the highway in sixth gear are almost unbearable. If you try to go up an incline the pulsing gets so intense it feels like your ears need to pop. I didn't expect these to be quiet by any means but wow totally different than the video sound clips. any help would be appreciated

    Mdboss429

    • I apologize that you aren't satisfied with the way this axle-back sounds. There are a few ways you can dampen the noise. If you do not have catalytic converters on the car, I suggest adding them back on. Also, if you have an x-pipe, you can replace it with an h-pipe. This will give the car more of a lower tone than a high pitched one. This should help quiet the car down.

I have purchased a set of wheel spacers from am,1.5 inch rear and 1inch to front and I have fitted these however one side is lower and this side is quite low to the body.. What could be the reason for this? Thanks

    Anonymous

    • If the axle-backs are sitting at an odd angle, it may be because of the hangers. I suggest checking the hangers on that side to see if any of them are bent.

      Amazing sound

The Pype bomb paired with an SR Performance X-Pipe sound amazing. There is a drone at 2k rpm but that is expected with an exhaust.

      Nice

these are made very well. They sound good and I get lots of 'Man that sounds Good". The only draw back is they are a little too loud and drone at times.

      Pypes on a 2015

Install took all of 20 minutes. They sound good and look good but there is a pretty good drone around 2500 RPM going down the highway. The note is pretty good and not too loud. Can't complain about the price either.

      Pype Bomb Axle Backs

This axle back solution is perfect. Great price and the install took 30 minutes. This axle back increased the sound to a perfect volume and gave it a nice deep tone at idle. It has the perfect amount of rasp when you get on it. I've got mine paired with a SR performance x-pipe. Definitely recommend.

What a muscle car should sound like

I've had these pipes installed for over a month now and I'm loving it more and more each day. I have not had a problem with a drone sound. It has that perfect roar, not too quiet and not too loud. I highly Recommend this product, transforms your mustang for a cheap price.

Pypes are the best value for your exhaust.

By far the best bang for your buck. Awesome looks with an awesome sound. Yes there is drone but you'll get used to it. Minimal drone 4th thru 6th gears.

Very easy to install and will take you 30-40min if you're taking your time. Just measure it up to the ild exhaust so you know where to cut and mark it. The difference in tone is on a whole new level. Very satisfied.

      SWEET!!!!!!!

I ordered these on Thursday, received them on Friday, and installed them on Saturday. All I can say is this is how a Mustang GT should sound. The rest of the exhaust is stock, and these still sound amazing!! Quiet enough not to wake the neighbors, but also loud enough when cruising to stand out and say move over... Buy these, definitely the best bang for your buck.

      Throaty aggressive exhaust!!!

Had these bad boys on my 2005 GT and loved them, so buying them again was a no brainer. They are easy to install on a lift, would not recommend using jack stands, makes cutting the factory pipes a little more difficult but can be done. So before you go with a different brand think twice before passing these up. They have a low throaty growl when idle and roar on road! Will turn heads but won't kil your ears.

      Apples To Apples

I think one of the most important parts of reviewing an exhaust system, or just mufflers like this, is that it is very necessary to know what other work has been done to the entire system. Half of the reviews on here don't mention that they took the cats off, deleted the resonator, added headers and an h-pipe etc etc... I was VERY worried about these mufflers being too loud and having drone when I bought them. But after having them installed on a completely STOCK car, they sound fantastic. Super deep rumple, no raspiness or harshness, mellow idle tone, and sounds aggressive when you step on it (which is a good thing!). I'm really blown away at how great these sound, especially for the money you pay. I am really glad I didn't spend the extra cash on a Borla/Roush system. Again, I have the stock resonator, both cats and stock headers. I had my exhaust guy weld these up so I didn't have to worry about the clamps becoming loose and causing a leak. It also saved me the headache of bending hangers to get these centered correctly. So in conclusion, make sure you read into the reviews a little and understand what other mods people have done, because it makes a HUGE difference to the sound/drone. The fit, finish, and sound of these mufflers for the price, can not be beat if you are installing them on an other wise stock exhaust system.

      Pypes black pype-bomb

1-1/2 weeks with mufflers, I couldn't deal with how quiet it was. About thirty minutes to install. This is what a GT should sound like from the factory. Wot has a nice sounding roar.
